okay i'm fed up with the exaggerated scene/dialogue. i'm only on episode 29, where i thought Xiao Zhuo finally gonna kill Zhu Yan when he stab him. but nope, just wanna take the flame. so why the speech which gave a farewell feeling? and this pattern ALWAYS get repeated on the whole drama. like someone do something big or giving a farewell feeling and turn out it's just their trick to do something else. like how they give clue that it's Xiao Zhuo that got possessed by Li Lun, hence that scene where Li Lun's appear from Xiao Zhuo, but nope, false again. so why that scene?
i know it's called a twist, but once or twice is fine. but when it happened repeatedly, it doesn't give a surprised feeling anymore. it's just like "hey, let's put a twist here, and here, and here, and here." it's just made feel like "yeah yeah sure whatever".
sorry i'm ranting. i really don't like this director style. the exaggered scenes, the slow motions, everyone speaking in hush whispery tone acting all mysterious. the story is actually nice, i love it, just the directing is too theatrical.

fun fact: i don't know his surname Hou has what meaning, but his Hou sounds similar with "hou" for "monkey".

her Luo father got off too good. he is not a good father and husband, yet in the end he got a loving family. he doesn't deserve all that, he doesn't even cry when he saw the burned body. look at Duke Ying, a healthy and strong man like him even faint when he thought that's his daughter. i wish they spend more time with Duke Ying instead.
