Well besides the fact that I like women I also just don't find most male characters in kdramas that interesting. Atleast compared to the female characters. The leads of this show are all great but it still feels like something is missing.
Sweet Home is a good example of the female characters being 10 x more interesting than the male ones

? A lot of the most popular ships in any media are non-canon lol

Kim Raewon was born for this role. Its very rare that I watch something with an actor I know where I 100% see the character and not the actor. So impressed with him

I think one of the marks of good fictional stories (regardless if its books tv or movies) is when you get really intense emotional reactions.
Episode 4 is a good example. Never wanted to beat tf out of anyone more than that sad excuse of a mom

Great chemistry between the main leads! Hope there won't be romance just for the sake of drama.. Although Gong Seungyeon always ends up being shipped with people because of how great her chemistry is with literally everyone in all of her projects lmao

I agree, but I'm talking specifically about her views on juvenile offenders. Her views are pretty consistently conservative regarding that.

How? Idol dramas are often ranked poorly. The only recent example I can think of where that's not the case is Snowdrop and thats because Jisoo has 57+ million followers on IG, not exactly the norm for idols.
Dramas that are often not that great are ranked higher than they should be all the time purely because of the romance, especially if the pairing are 2 actors who are generally liked

Am I missing something, how is the show super conservative? The FL has conservative views but the show's moral center seems to be the ML and his views are the opposite to hers.
They way the cases played out didn't make it feel in any way (to me) that the show was trying to prove FL is 100% correct in her opinions

Is the overall political message conservative though? The FL holds conservative views but the ML has the opposite opinions and he seems to be the one serving as the moral center of the show. To me it felt like the show was pointing out that the conservative viewpoint can't be forcibly applied to every single case, and that the FL is wrong for doing so.
I could be missing something though. I haven't finished all the eps yet

Its not that, its the lack of cheesy romance which seems to be the only thing 90% of people watch kdramas for. Which is a shame cause they're missing out on a lot
