It feels like wasted potential. The starting was so promising but then it got progressively more boring. Edit: Its been a day since I've finished this drama and its oddly unforgettable.
I have no idea why but I hated Wen Gu from the first moment I laid eyes on him and then I understood why after finishing this. Wen Gu needs a tight slap and a lesson about accepting rejection and accountability. The whole plot of the two seasons is basically everyone and their ancestors blaming and punishing Duan Mu the female lead for the consequences of their own actions or the results of a ill intentioned person. There's this plot device of the past impacting the possible future and its not done very well (Also ppl seem to resurrect alot like wth). It also got super draggy I just wanted the drama to end and give me a happy ending. The main couple was cute but no sizzling chemistry for their relationship, it was just cute. I really liked the brother though he's funny.
It's surprisingly good. I was a little hesitant after reading the comments and reviews but I really liked it, loved it in fact. Honestly the writer did some injustice to the FL because she's smarter then what the other characters (mostly the ML) give her credit for but her flaw is that she's stubborn. She doesn't need the ML to spoon feed her the information she actually has her suspicions and investigates them. If the ML had actually sat down and explained to her his reasons properly I'm pretty sure the FL would have been chill and there wouldn't be a "I hate you for lying" arc. My only complaint of this drama is that people hide too much information from our FL. Its a great drama. The lead couple is comforting to watch because they are each others biggest support and companions. The second couple is also cute as well. The plot is generic and easy to follow.
You cannot put 2 of the most visually aesthetically pleasing people (Lee Da Hee and Lee Soo Hyuk) in the lead role and rob me of a romance. Thats not happening I demand a romance please I'm desperate I've never seen a more visually pleasing pair of people in my life.
I absolutely loved this 5th ep, it was so cute. Also I'm so happy they've finally uprooted the plagiarism flag and removed the songwriter guy he was such a pain to watch. Sayon is irritating as usual I dislike her very much, she doesn't have accountability for her actions and likes to portray herself as a victim. I cheered so loud when Do Ha rejected her not even giving her a chance to speak and leaving immediately after. I'm happy that the main couple had so many scenes together because they have great chemistry, it's nice to see how they have impacted each other's lives in the short time they've been together. Also when Do Ha kicked the soccer ball during the chase scene he looked so attractive and energetic, it really felt like damn he's healing and becoming cheerful again just like in the opening scene. My favourite moment though is when Do Ha texts Sol Hee saying that he would love for her to visit his concert at 8 at the Jazz Bar and then Sol Hee started to smile and I died just died. Another scene was when Do Ha dropped the plate and was going to pick it up and Sol Hee rushed towards him asking him what he was doing because he was a pianist so he should not injure his hands. The ending was a perfect conclusion for this episode, warm and cozy like spring when romance blooms. I can't wait for ep 6.
Our maturity is in the toilet? Please as if, we are not the ones in the comments under a Kdrama insulting the main audience of Kdramas (Kdrama fans). Ok yeah critique is not a bad thing, I'm not offended by you saying that the drama was too convenient in making the leads meet, because its true. I just offered my perspective and thoughts on your critique. Sharing different perspectives and ideas is not a bad thing. Aren't you just being a tiny bit narrow minded? You should be more mature and broaden your mindset.
So according to the description of the drama, her ability doesn't work on him? That would be interesting.
I think that instead of her ability not working on him from the first ep and highlight reel we can see that she can still 'hear' that he speaks the truth. So it might just be that he is always honest. Maybe its just a theory.
I don't understand the great reviews about this drama because it has been raising some questions from me since the second episode. The ML is the only logically functioning character in this drama from what I've seen. He has the patience of a saint because from what I have seen his roommates are terrible roomates, they do not respect his privacy and they are unreasonable towards him when all he wants is personal space. Like there should be some rules when living together at least. They shout so much and there is a dissonance in the way they behave and their character set up. The FL picks fights with the ML for no reason like the scene in episode 3 where she throws the wine in his face after he suggests drinking together after her disastrous break up like why would you do that. That whole house is filled with unstable people with the exclusion of the ML. Also I would pick another hospital for psychiatric help because those doctors scare me. The FL is bull headed and so toxic. Like the ML is so much more likeable, also the scene when the FL takes a waffle from a customers order(if I was the customer and a total stranger was getting their grubby little hands on my food that I paid for I would be very upset and put off) and is just so casual about it. She is so unlikeable as a character. I don't want to root for her I honestly wish for her to get her license revoked as a doctor.
we know rite..the story is even almost the same but they change Shen Qiao to a female..this is annoying..If this…
Just because many people have the same opinion it does not make that opinion correct. Since you cant read long paragraphs ( probably the reason why you don't remember Thousand Autumns properly since no effort was put into reading it) I'll shorten my comment for you. Stop making a mountain out of an anthill. This drama makes use of the most cliche tropes ever its not a reason to compare it to another work just because the tropes and names are similar.
I'm going to clear up some confusion in this comment section because it's getting to me clearly. It's honestly the schooling system failing people because reading comprehension is non-existent. A bad memory might play a part as well.
The synopsis of this drama is totally different from Thousand Autumns. In the synopsis, the FL and ML are from the same generation and their masters were from opposing sides with the ML betraying the FL by pushing her off a cliff to save his master. FL is then saved by the master of a demonic cult and becomes his successor while ML became the successor of his master on the Right Path.
In MXS Thousand Autumns, the ML(YWS) and the MC(SQ) are from different generations. YWS is from SQ's master's generation. SQ is from a younger generation than YWS although they are both leaders of their respective sects. SQ was then invited to battle another character and fell off a cliff due to the scheming of the people surrounding him. YWS discovered SQ at the bottom of the cliff where he was passed out and brought him back due to the various rumours of SQ's supposed purity and his relations to SQ's master. When SQ woke up he lost his memories and powers, YWS took full advantage of that, always trying to tarnish the purity that existed in SQ and always trying to make SQ miserable and twisted. But SQ remembered some of the good things that he felt YWS did for him and when he was abandoned and thrown away by YWS he did not hold a grudge although he stopped trusting YWS. YWS was then walked right into a trap by the righteous sects and SQ helped him escape and flee from the scene. YWS shortly then became ill due to his cultivation method being unpolished and SQ stepped in to help, YWS also had some moments of split personality. YWS realized that he has already fallen in love with SQ and his pureness and then he begins his pursuit of SQ. They only get together officially (SQ accepts he has feelings for YWS) at the near end when YWS was courting death by accepting battle from another character when his cultivation was reportedly still unstable (at least it seemed like that in SQ's perspective). The fact that SQ might never see YWS alive again pushed him to accept YWS's feelings and confess his feelings as well. Some events have been omitted.
So now after that whole refresher on TA. The similarities are that both the MC and FL fell off a cliff and the leads come from opposing fractions(enemies to lovers). Both of which by the way is the most common tropes ever to exist in the entertainment sphere. Firstly, FL fell off the cliff because of the ML while in TA, YWS had nothing to do with SQ falling off the cliff. Secondly, in TA, YWS is from the demonic fraction while SQ was from the righteous fraction, in this drama the FL is from the demonic fraction and the ML is from the righteous fraction. Also, another point of similarity is that there is a battle of the masters at the start. In TA, YWS battled against SQ's master while in this drama it's the FL and ML's masters battling each other.
In conclusion, get your facts right before saying something dumb. The drama has not been released yet so please don't go acting like you know the whole content of the drama. It's unreasonable to compare completed work to unreleased work. All this whining about 'OMG, they turned BL into BG boohoohoo' is just a little over the top, especially because it's not even true. As a BL fan myself I can understand the frustration when your favorite BL becomes a BG due to censorship or convenience but saying the story is the same when you don't even understand the story is laughable at best and ignorant at worst. This is also an insult to the novel, it's like implying that the novel was not memorable enough for people to remember the actual plot and characters. Reread the novel if you don't remember the plot.

2. The first few eps were good but it gets draggy and its the typical story of a wuxia
3. Cute but not explosive
4. None
Edit: Its been a day since I've finished this drama and its oddly unforgettable.
In conclusion, I did not state that the show claimed to be a cliché but as a rom-com its expected to utilise clichés in the plot such as being in the right place at the right time so that the leads would meet and interact.
Also yeah if you're not enjoying the drama just drop it. It's the internet people disagree all the time where do you get off calling people childish?
