i feel the same re. the pro bono team. They doubted him everytime there's a slight deviation from David, they…
I agree. The Pro Bono team adds nothing. They would have been fired long ago if not for the ML. They are too emotional. There's no balance I knew they'd be annoying from the first case when they called the dog their client. It was cute but it was such a moral indicator that I rolled my eyes.
It was good but the ending was underwhelming. I wasn't a fan of the FL or the pro bono team, they are very unrealistic idealists, out of everyone in the drama they had the most privilege but act like they're the victims. They never had to struggle, their problems were all superficial or just not utilised correctly in the plot. I liked O Jeong In, she was a compelling female character, I would have preferred the ML to be paired up with her. I don't understand why he had to give up his ambitions of being a judge at the end? Like why? He's still part of the judicial system, he can still do good. It makes no sense, does being morally good = no career progression?
I absolutely love KHS, played by Sung Joon. I didn't like him much in Island, and I was confused about why people were thirsting for him, but I get it now. He is so good in this. One moment, he scares me so much and seems so unstable that I just want to run away, the next, he is so adorable that I can't imagine him being a drug lord. And his smiles just kill me.
Look if the premise for this drama was different it would've worked better. Like for example intead of them being demons they could've just been employees of the underworld. Because for demons they have alot of humanity. They have alot of humanity as well as a human perception of right and wrong. For me demons, devils and angels are morally absent as in they have a belief and they follow that belief they don't care about brutality or things like that. Morals are fundamentally human, a foundation of whats right and wrong. I still like the drama but its becoming a little preachy.
I don't understand the line in ep 4 where HDO says he's angry that the person wasn't legally punished with foreboding music in the background, why, like sure they were not legally punished but they were sent to hell which is the ultimate punishment, which everyone goes through. Justina's presence just sped it up so that they don't enjoy the rest of their human lives before descending to hell as they deserve. Because isn't hell in the afterlife, the ultimate judgement?? Make it make sense. Also, I don't mind if Justina gets feelings but I hope they don't make her too human, she is a demon first and foremost, her humanity is mostly a facade anyway.
liu has to be one of the most frustrating FL?! i don’t remember the FL in gangnam beauty being this clueless
The FL in gangnam beauty figured it out after a couple of episodes, she completely stopped trusting her after the university festival episode. But the FL in gangnam beauty had a reliable friend and although she had low self-esteem due to her childhood, she always managed to pick herself up due to her appreciation of the people supporting her.
Every single episode has someone crying, it was funny to watch. The main couple is cute but the plot is stretched out for no reason. Things happen but nothing actually happens in the plot. I just watched for the romance it was a nice push and pull, plus "we love each other but the world keeps us apart" is such a vibe. Oh, the nang rais are pretty slappable too, but I actually sort of liked Pring, she would qualify as a good and sane person if only the aunt wasn't such a bad influence on her. The general is the only one with a functioning brain in this whole lakorn.
So let me get this straight, the main motivation for the FL was that she is casted as an actress in a film (also the summary is such a lie "top actor" yeah right ) but the whole drama ignores that motivation. Here we have the ML crushing her dreams, let's be honest she did not need to stay that extra month he just didn’t want to commute to Bangkok. The side characters especially the mother in law being a mess. Honestly the only likable character for me is the FL mother, she MVPed this mess of a drama. One of the icks I have about countryside dramas is that the FL always have to give up her dreams to suit the ML's countryside lifestyle. For once I want to watch a drama in reverse. The ML moving to the countryside to the big city and working at the FL's family business and getting bullied by everyone while doing so. Initially he wants to go back to the countryside but stays in the city cuz of his love for the FL. When I read the summary, I thought I wouldn't like it and guess what I'm right. I dislike this immensely. I wasted an hr proving to myself that I know myself very well. Sigh what a waste.
Would have loved it had she been his sister instead of girlfriend. Now i am not rooting for the leads as it feels…
I agree it's kind of an ick, he still has their picture as his phone background too. I want to see how the writers are going to wrap everything up in 6 episodes.
Spoilers ahead. At this point I agree with many others that the female lead should end up alone at the end. I know I've been waiting for Kim Ji Eun to star in a romance but this is not the romance I want. Eun Ho could've been good for her if he wasn't still very much hung up on his dead ex girlfriend. Those kinds of lingering feelings in the male lead leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially with only 6 episodes left I can't think of a way for the writers to convince me that the Eun Ho actually likes Na Eon (recalling back to the scene where she asked Eun Ho to stay after one of her ghost attacks, he looked so exasperated with her which I had an odd feeling about at that time but now I know it's because he dislikes her). Because I love Kim Ji Eun, I want Na Eon to have the best life possible, I feel like after the incident 5 years ago she's stopped trusting anyone which is why she often does things alone now. I just want her to be happy and ghost free and headache free. Yoo Mi and Jung Woo have really slappable faces, Yoo Mi with her inferiority complex is already annoying but Jung Woo takes the cake. Na Eon has straight up told him multiple times that she doesn't like him why is he so obsessivly clingy. Anyway conclusion, no decent males for the female lead to start a relationship with and after she achieves her aim she should just leave the company and move somewhere far far far away from all the people who hate her and wants the worst for her.
The starting was quite nice, the leads had good chemistry. But it gets so draggy, why would you make the female lead marry the person she doesn't like only for her to realize that she loves her best friend. What kind of plot device is that? They should've made the leads get together earlier, what was the damn point of dragging it till the last possible episode.
When I read the summary, I thought I wouldn't like it and guess what I'm right. I dislike this immensely. I wasted an hr proving to myself that I know myself very well. Sigh what a waste.
