This whole drama is based on one case like Stranger, didn't you check that up before watching it or did you just expect it to be each ep diff case drama?, Each drama has its flaws but apparently you picked up writing which is actually the +point of this drama.

Yes, since this is a trilogy and everything is connected, you have to watch S1 to understand S2 better, they released a special edition which is a refresher of season 1 and it's only 25 eps of 1 hr duration. And yeah also don't mind the bad reviews since they expected action and less talking and when they couldn't get that, they're just disappointed, but the series is following the story in a very logical way as season 2 is about ML' journey to get a strong position in the court and S3 will be the culmination of it, with many battles and rebellions taking place in the final season. So if political schemes and strategies are your type of drama, you can go ahead with this one and hope you like it!
