Reviews are in from Cannes, stating it as batshit crazy and unhinged lol, tho many criticized the VFX / CG of aliens, but honestly that's the last thing on my mind, the cinematography alone has me sold, the shots in the trailer are absolutely breathtaking.
When actresses from conservative Asian countries, who have performed explicit sex scenes have children, I wonder…
Basically you are saying that cruel people will try to shame her children and somehow it's her fault and she should repent and not theirs lol. Well she can't control others, and clearly she didn't let the fear of them define her choice, personally I think at that time she was very brave because she knew that after playing such a controversial role she can get banned in china yet she didn't give a fuck, similarily she didn't shrunk her entire life and career around what cruel strangers might do someday, I mean who wouldn't want to work with Ang Lee and the movie was critically acclaimed, liked not a mid softcore movie, as far as I remember she said in an interview many years ago that she doesn't regret it and will do it all over again if she was given the same choice, I think at that time she had already a kid(don't remember that well), well so in her case she won't regret that much and hopefully she will be a beautiful mother to the kids.
technically, no. The movie you’re referring to is probably Memories of Murder, both the film and the drama are based on the same serial killer but the difference is that the movie was made before the killer was caught while the drama explores the long-term impact of the case and offers more closure.
I don't understand why Zhou Jin should feel guilty toward Jiang Cheng. Yes, he worked as an undercover and put…
I actually think you're being a little too logical about a very emotional connection here, FL's guilt isn't about whether she owed SML anything, i mean you're right that she didn't ask him to go undercover but guilt usually doesn't work on logic, FL believed for years that the man she loved had thrown everything away and become someone unrecognisable, well obviously she moved on and married ML but now she finds out that the entire time she was judging him, resenting him, grieving him as a moral failure, he was suffering in the dark, doing one of the most brutal job and with her as basically his only anchor to keep going, i mean now that's not something that you just receive and feel nothing about, specially in FL's shoes. Also I think her guilt isn't "I should have waited for him" or "I wronged him by moving on.", it's the much more complicated, more like guilt about your own perception, like she had constructed this version of him in her head that had failed her, abandoned his values, and has chosen the wrong side. She didn't just grieve the relationship but also grieved him as a person, and when u spent years building that narrative, protecting yourself behind it and making peace with it even letting it harden into something like contempt and then the whole thing collapses in one revelation then obviously the guilt that rushes in isn't guilt about your choices. It's about your perception, the guilt will always be there ig but it doesn't mean she regrets her choice of moving on and marrying ML.It just means she's someone who loved deeply, lost deeply, and now has to hold two truths at once, that she made the right choice and that it still cost someone everything. Btw I think we both may share the same idea about the killer especially if he made appearance in today's eps. That whole scene seemed like a setup for something big later.
I don't get why people are mad over FL caring for SML. Are you guys even watching the drama? FL and SML literally…
Yeah same lol, I already expected that reaction from the FL, given that they were raised together, he was essentially family to her even before their relationship, so it’s natural that she’s deeply attached and emotionally bonded to him. My only complaint is the lack of verbal reassurance from the FL towards the ML, even if she does have feelings for him, we as the audience have no clear idea because she never communicates them. Though there are small moments that hint she’s started liking him like the jealousy scene or the way she remembers little things about him but I still wish she’d do more man, our ML needs that lmao. All we really see is that she’s happy because he’s a good husband and a good man, but does she actually like him, or just the idea of having him? I really hope they handle this better in the upcoming episodes.
What a plot twist! All of this because Sang Ah loved Ji soo.. I don’t know if they were lovers or not, it was…
Yeah you're right if you're talking about Nana' s character, I heard in one of the interviews that there would be a huge twist related to her character later in the show.
After ep 3 iam very much convinced chu sang ah is not the morally grey evil character that everyone else is trying…
From the very first episode, it seemed clear that their marriage was not born out of love, but rather a kind of contract or mutually beneficial arrangement—something that would be explored in the next ep, judging by the preview. Like the ML, the FL also doesn’t seem to be in love. Both of them hide things from each other. I also think the ML may not be aware of the all the details of the traumatic past the FL had, though I can be wrong. So far, he seems to believe that the tax evasion incident affected her deeply. The only ick I get from the ML that is his wiretapping of her phone and his surveillance without her knowing. I just wish they would sit down and talk things through with each other :((

Happy Birthday!, wish u happiness and good health ahead.
The original synopsis here on MDL did spoil about the reason FL is mad towards our ML, but they have changed it…
I don’t remember it exactly, but it was something along the lines of an accident where his twin brother dies, and the ML pretends to be him to spare her from the truth.
Btw I think we both may share the same idea about the killer especially if he made appearance in today's eps. That whole scene seemed like a setup for something big later.
