This drama is wholesome. Every episode is fantastic. The pacing is brilliant, the characters are well crafted and the acting is top-notch. Not even a second that's boring.

I didn't find it draggy at all (I think I just like hostage situations in tv tho) especially not compared to the…
First two episode were draggy to the point where I almost quit. But then 3, 4, 5 were amazing, 5 was especially intense. Maybe compared to 5, I found 6 slow, especially that scene between Yoo In Na and her BF in the car. They talked too much for my liking haha.

That's the possibility..Given how Bulgasal saved Hwal twice in the past..There must be a reason..
Definitely. Eul Tae has admitted to killing Sang Un 7 times, and wants to kill her an eight and final time. Why is he so obsessed? Because he wants to end the soul cycle asap so he can live forever without worries. I can't think for another reason for his action.

Episode 6 was slow and draggy, but Yoo In Na's entry made things very interesting, and then Jisoo stole the show in the last few minutes.
On Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Jan 1, 2022
OK, so I think the soul isn't Hwal's, but Eul Tae's.

Eul Tae wants to kill Sang Un so badly and end her cycle of reincarnations. He told Hwal that if he kills Sang Un, Hwal could be enjoying a life of eternity.

I think Eul Tae wants to kill Sang Un because she has his soul and he wants to end the cycle of reincarnations because he loves being a Bulgasal.

Nara's Bulgasal definitely stole Eul Tae's soul, because he must have been a horrible person, and transferred his soul into Hwal, who wasn't even supposed to be born in the first place. He literally popped out of his dead mother hanging from a tree, with a wound on his hand (signifying a potential soul transfer because Hwal was possibly a dead baby brought back to life).

That could explain his bad karma. The people around Hwal suffered because he had the soul of a Bulgasal. Nara stabbed Hwal and took the soul back to protect him from getting killed by Bulgasal (Eul Tae), who as we know was searching for Hwal throughout the first episode.

Hwal killed Nara and created more bad karma, the punishment of which is protecting her from being vanished. The FL and ML would help each other to transfer the soul to Mr Black Hole somehow and end the soul's eight and final life, killing the bad Bulgasal and living a life of eternity together.

Kim Kyung Nam showed shades of his character from Prison Playbook in episode 3. I guess he turns into an innocent puppy for the people he truly loves haha.

I don't understand why people are suddenly rating this drama bad and reducing the rating. I've seen few people…
Joy is doing a great job. She's staying very true to her character of a social media influencer. People are way too critical of idols-turned-actors for some reason.

Really? He seems average for you 😅
I am talking about the character, Joon Hyuk, who an average male can totally relate to. Not shown as someone with a lot of charm, money or magical powers, that would put him above the rest. His life has been a struggle throughout, yet he manages to do the best for himself and his family.

Love how the ML is not an unusually handsome chaebol or a goblin or a monster or a flower boy. He's just an average Uncle trying his best to do the best for his family with the little resources he has.

I really don't understand people who comment stuff like "I won't watch this drama, not my taste lol, Han So Hee is so bad at acting". You don't have to do it guys, and I say it without meaning any disrespect. If you don't like something or someone, the best thing you should do is ignore them. You hating on them and engaging in unnecessary fights with other fans would only make things worse and make you hate Han So Hee more lol.

I like both Han So Hee and Park Hyeung Shik and I think they'd do really well. HSH set the bar really high for herself after My Name, and PSH was phenomenal in Happiness. Really looking forward to this.

Only 449 viewers have even cast a score thus far. Scores can change quickly in the early stages, no?
I read a few comments about it too, and it really makes me upset if it's true.

They do, but the drama has stayed at around 8.8 for the past two weeks, but suddendly dropped to 8.4 in less than a day. It means that a decent amount of new ratings to brought the average down, or the current viewers disliked the current episodes. I don't care about the ratings as long as dramas are judged on merit. A sudden drop in ratings in a short time is fishy however.
On Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Dec 26, 2021
What's up with the sudden drop in ratings smh? Yesterday it was 8.8 and suddenly 0.4 down, FISHY.

SPOILERS HERE, so read it at your own risk haha.

In episode 4, we find out that the person who has a scar on his right hand (Hwal) is the sword that would kill Bulgasal, which means he was BORN TO KILL BULGASAL, as he had the scar at birth.

This could mean that Nara's Bulgasal wasn't a bad one, and she wanted to kill Lee Joon as he was the only monster to survive the monster killing spree in Joseon period. Hwal was gifted with the ability to kill monsters, particularly Bulgasal by Nara, which is why she protected him when he was young.

Nara stabbed him and took his soul because she wanted Hwal to turn into a Bulgasal, be indestructible himself, and kill the real bad guy Bulgasal. The look Nara had on her face when she stabbed Hwal reeked of pain. She didn't want to do it, but she probably didn't have another choice.

Me too I just love her so much. She doesn't look a day older than 30. Only thing Im sad about is how little screentime…
We will surely get more of her in the coming episodes and I can't wait haha.
