The 2nd FL is so unlikeable. What is the director and writer thinking. She's reminding me of old K-dramas where the 2nd FL used to be insufferable. The scene where she was treating ML poorly in his own office is so annoying.
ML's grandfather is played by a renowned supporting actor who is often the villain. It's interesting to see him not get any screen time until now. I wonder if he's going to be the main villain.
It was a good show. Very engaging to watch. Could have been a masterpiece but the writing declined greatly after 5 episodes. In the 5th episode, they made it so easy to kill the the ML's supporters. Mr. Choi should never have been killed. He was the main guy -- he needed to take his revenge. Should have made the sashimi guy sacrifice himself to protect the biker guy. The biker guy could have been injured, so they could have shown the two MLs fight by themselves.
Mr. Choi had so much money, yet he didn't hire physical or digital security at his home after going against the villain and knowing that they lacked manpower. Should have at least done for his daughter. Of course the FL being written out also affected the show. Also, in the earlier episodes, sending the 3 kids to get money without any backup was stupid.
That guy who is grandpa's "son" seems like shady to me. I think he told ML's father about the meeting. He seems to be taking advantage of their fighting for his own benefit.
I like the FL actress when it comes to serious scenes. But, her acting/expressions in romance/comedy scenes in the last few episodes have been kinda bad. For example, when that ex-gf came, her expressions in the jealousy scenes were bad. ML has been doing well in all aspects.
The mom's reason to keep her daughter mute was very stupid. And even if she went with it, she could have made an excuse that her daughter got her voice back later with treatment.
Here's my theory: Sa Eon is adopted from the orphanage. He hinted about his parents switching children and he also dislikes fish. The original blackmailer is from the orphanage and he hates Sa Eon because he wasn't picked due to some reason (maybe his eyes or scar on neck).
This drama is failing at making the FL and her family likeable, especially her mom and her grandparents. They are all shown as so unlikable that you actually want ML's mom to find the money. With good writing and direction, a lot of filmmakers can actually make characters like them likeable, even if they dug up someone else's money. The worst character is probably the FL's sister. You don't have to show her ambitious by showing her such a gold digger.
