disappointed

i started watching this show as i heard a lot of good things about it, so watching it i liked ep1-4, a very good start, i even felt emotional watching ep 2 but then what happened in ep 5? the pacing started to feel so out of place,not in a good way imo ...
its becoming much over the top and not realistic to the point i started to wonder whats going on? did i open an episode from squid game? did they change the writer haflway or they lost half of the script ? its unfortunate when a show has a great start then eventually it start to feel like you are watching a different show, so disappointed

dont even hesitate

i love this one, often when i watch series i catch myself thinking, ‘oh no, it’s dragging.’ but this one is the opposite, i cant get enough and i wanted more, i especially wish we could’ve seen more of the mls’ relationship and dating moments, the actors have done a great job, they have good chemistry, while the plot is interesting to watch.

Fujibayashi deserves a special mention as he portrayed two completely different characters (Enaga and AE), both characters give different vibes ,Enaga give cute introvert shy vibe, while AE give extrovert, hot vibes. the contrast was well done.
i highly recommend this one, its something different and interesting

interesting but the ending could have been better

overall this show is not bad, it reminds me of "to sir ,with love" but i loved "to sir,with love" much more.

first of all Sasin is a bit too hot headed, the type of guy who jump to conclusions very quick, doesnt listen to your explanation, say some nasty things but later apologize after calming down and he has a kind heart, if that happen 10000 times thats how it is. he is the type of guy full of passion but has an aggressive attitude in the same time, not necessary something bad but feel frustating at times and a bit too much, then later i go back to liking him..
while Saenkaew is the cute type, pretty and has his own trauma.

in this series there's way too much evil characters which made me want to skip their parts, almost everyone is bad, only very few people are likable, i find it a bit much depressing esp in the latest episodes ,so this might be why i didnt enjoy it as much as i wanted, when i watched to sir with love smh i didnt feel this way.

then there is the ending, not every character need to have a redemption arc, i find both the father and Pin so unlikeable , i coudnt go back to liking Pin after what she did in ep 11 or have sympathy, like my sympathy to her kind of vanished at that ep i was rather much frustrated by her behaviors....
so in general this is a good show to watch, i just wished that few things happened differently

better than season 2 but ..

when you see the rating, comments, reviews its obvious that many people are angry, this series indeed has it own flaws thats for sure but i find it better than season 2 , there is entertainment , games and didnt feel like a filler season
its just my opinion but comparing this season to season 2 : season 2 felt like just a preparation for season 3 , what could have been better is if they combined both seasons in one season instead
now talking about season 3: * major spoilers*
what i didnt like: questionable behaviors, like im ok with a bit of super hero behaviors but saving a baby (that is not even related to you, nor you had spent huge time with him) over your own son? it felt so forced super herotic act, like why a lot of characters are either so all about sacrifices or fully evil, characters dont need to be fully good or fully bad and that there is no in btw,
and how easy it is to give birth in that place?
this season ended with nothing getting solved, Seong Gi Hu talked about revenge in season 2 but this whole season there is no fire no flame no revenge he was just trying to save the baby and then he decided to s**cide , could have been better if at least some criminals got caught for investigation, or made it in a way that he was able to live and to take care of his daughter and the new born baby and getting therapy with all that money, at least the ending would be satisfating, he said he is a bad father but he could try to make up for it , Hwang Jun Ho was looking for his brother but went back home like nothing happened, they killed most important characters so early in early eps too, also the vips are just... not it,
and they are hinting at an USA version?
what i liked: the games were okay and interesting, i liked some characters and stayed until the end to see what happen to every character, the first part of the show (early eps) are interesting and good, the other eps could have been better, flaws in the plot are obvious but its watchable

so gooddd

this is one of the shows that when i started it (part 1) i already think its good, but then it gets even better and better, part 3 is my favorite for many reasons
- we see more scenes of Eun Seom , i really love watching his scenes and his story
-the new addition Xabara, i love her character and her strong personality
- surprisingly i started liking Ta Gon in this part , he is supposed to be an antagonist but i cant see him this way, rather than evil he is just a very gray character, id say he is forced to be the way he is
i love that every character have some depth, Joong Ki did really good job acting as both Eun Seom and Sa Ya
acting and story both are good , i highly recommend

it was worth the hype that it got

the show is so good, very well done compared to many other netflix series. the plot is so full of mystery and creativity, while i know many people did guess about who the cop's brother is etc but there is also things that you cant guess, for exemple it was surprising about how in ep 2 they went back to their old life before going back again in the game that was not expected. the games were really entertaining and horrifying in the same time as its childhood games used like that

the whole hiarchy about the pink soldiers too is really cool, about how the circle ones are the workers, the triangle ones are the army and the square are the managers,then the front man then the host which is on top.there is also a lot of hidden signs in the serie that you cant find easily ,about how the old man is behind it all and how the games are on the wall and its really cool.
now lets talk about the cast, i dont think there is a better cast than this, the acting is really on top. ep 6? seriously you cant stop the tears, you find yourself so attached to the characters which is something you dont find in every serie. it shows you as well how humans behave when they are desperate so you see a lot of different behaviors from those who sacrifice themselves to those who trick others to survive and its true that every one deal with those situations differently depending on their mental health and their personality. the only thing to criticize here is the vips acting,its cringy and doesnt look realistic to me but again its a korean show so they probably werent aware of it, also if the vips are full of foreign people who dont all speak english fluenty then it could turn cringy, i just dont think that all of them are american.

the last thing i want to mention is the music, its so so goooooood, the "pink soldier" song is so addicting and there is other songs that are also so cool.
overall the show deserve the hype and you can feel that there is a lot of effort behind it im happy when people who worked so hard got what they deserved, for now i can only wish that season 2 dont be rushed, i want them to take their time and make a good plot i dont want it poorly done because season 1 really give high expectations

maybe its just me but i loved it so much

i will start first about things that i didnt like and then end this review with what i loved.
*there is going to be spoilers here*
first it was so short, i really wish it was longer while i understand that korean bls for now are short , the plot is way too much simple too so basically there is not much going on in the serie. the issue between the bestfriends was solved but it was not clearly shown how they come to terms with it, again i understand that was rushed by how short the bl is so yeah.

what i loved is the main characters, can i talk about the chemistry? omg , i was really trying to not fangirl and i watched the serie in 1 day and yeah while the eps are so short im still not someone who watch a show in one day so thats surprising to me,the chemistry is so good ,they look so good together ,Hae Won is so so pretty ,the music is so beautiful too i did download one song from there in my phone and listen to it from time to time. i really loved the vibe the show is giving too,its cute and light and the ending was also satisfying,i really want a season 2 where it could be longer and they could make a more developped plot. while most of time i dont really enjoy korean bls because they are short ,i did really like this the most

It hurts but it's also good

It’s one of the biggest emotional rollercoasters, full of angst (reasonable angst), toxicity, love, obsession etc. It’s dark but also good. I honestly wish it was longer and had more episodes and I’ve heard there will be special episodes, which is great.

The actors did a great job and they have a good chemistry. The show was wrapped up well, with no rushed ending, which is another big plus. The only thing I didn’t like was the amount of smoking scenes, but at the same time, I understand it,many people smoke so it's not something unrealistic, and the characters carry a lot of emotional baggage and stress.
I also kind of wished we could see more of Lu Zhen later on, dating and moving on, but it’s not a big deal.

Overall, my final impression is that it's good. Having a well done, not rushed ending is really important, and this series delivered well. I hope to see those actors in more shows/bls in the future

Uncomfortable watch

The show seems to be normalizing plastic surgery obsession, sending the message that changing your appearance will make your crush notice you and date you and make your life "cool", Skinny and beautiful is the solution...
The storyline and mainly the message feel harmful, especially since the main character is focused on a guy who called her ugly and f*t before she underwent her transformation. What bothers me even more is that they didn't explore the possibility of her falling for someone who genuinely loves and appreciates her as she is, instead she kept seeking his approval. How about making her fall for someone else instead ? The male lead would never think to be with her if she didn't change her appearance.. and i don't appreciate the insulting comedy about her weight, so many wrong things with this movie I dont recommend
