BEST NETFLIX KDRAMA EVER!!

I have to admit, when I watched season 1 back in June I was such a huge fan, and when it was announced that somin wasn’t going to be in season 2 I didn’t want to watch season 2 but then I got more into the OG naksu and I found that she was really talented and pretty so I decided to watch the show and let me tell you, that was one of the best decision of my life, this show had so many ups and downs, I cried so many times, I even threatened to sue the writers because of just how many scenes made me cry. I wasn’t even expecting a happy ending but the Hong sisters devoured with the second part, I loved Part 1 but Part 2 for me is the best. I really want a season 3 but I doubt we will get that. I also introduced this series to my friend who also loves kdramas and she watched all of season 1 and she watched season 2 when it was airing with me and she also told me that Part 2 was her favorite. Also I love our 🍀 couple I wish to see them together in future projects 😁

What is even the plot????

when i first heard that Shin Hye-Sun would be in this drama i knew for a fact that this show would be amazing, every other show that she has been in has just been a 8+ in rating for me! her prominent titles being Mr. Queen an Angel's last mission : Love!

this show by far is just simply confusing! sha has D.I.D after encountering trauma of her sister disappearing/dying. the show never fully goes into depth about what truly happened to the sister, we are simply left in the dust to fend for ourselves. The body was never found, and she also was never found! they hinted at the sister still being alive and i thought they would show that in the show but no!

The relationship was also just a no for me, i get that he didn't want to introduce her to his messed up family but like what even was that relationship, just very toxic and yet they always went back to each other! the only reason i finished these series is because of the 2nd ML, hoping that the writer does some justice to the show by at least making her end up with him but no, she had to end up with the other dude!

there was never actual closure of the characters, the whole plot just felt rushed! they had an amazing cast with impeccable acting and yet they ruined it by giving them one of the worst if not the worst freaking story of the year! i don't know WHAT the author was thinking while making this show but clearly they weren't in their right mind.

do yourself a favor and DON'T and i repeat DON'T waste your time watching this show. i wasted multiple weeks watching this while it was airing only for it be one of the worst shows I've ever watched!

Very repetitive and would NOT recommend

I will be breaking this into different sections to highlight the many things that went wrong with this show.

STORY/PLOT:
I don't know what I expected from a Wattpad story that is still ongoing. reading the book had me second guessing everything... they put serious topics like r@pe, manipulation and SA into the story but instead of raising awareness they are instead brushing past it like dust. JJ almost go r@ped but the next day its as if it never even happened, she was drugged and was legit seconds away from becoming a victim and yet nothing at all to spread awareness about how sick that is. The show had too many filler episodes, if I had to actually count I would say only about 5 episodes are actually needed out of the whole 16. There were so many unnecessary things but I'll just get into those later.

CHARACTERS:
the characters were all horrible in a sense.
KEIFER: the traumatic kid who doesn't want to end up like his abusive father who ends up being a jerk for most of the show. since I read the book, I couldn't really be mad at Keifer at all. His whole childhood is just too sad and seriously traumatic, not to mention him having to take care of his siblings at such a young age. his whole " I don't apologize' attitude was annoying, like bro it doesn't cost much to simply apologize for being a jerk.
JJ: I actually liked her at first but then she just got annoying, her meddling into other people's business might have saved them but it was so unnecessary and also just annoying. Her jumping to conclusions is also so utterly infuriating... girl please take a moment and try to understand the situation before jumping to conclusions.. you don't know their story so stop. Her getting herself in trouble every single day and needing Section E but mostly Keifer to come and rescue her was simply just rage bait, like girl stand up and stop causing trouble.
YURI: before I even read the book I knew for a fact that something was wrong with this guy first of all, his whole I Love JJ BS was never matching with me in the books and especially in the show. So many Yuri fans made me so mad because they claimed he was such a nice guy and a green flag but bro had all the time in the world to warn JJ of the plan but he never did, and he takes everything as a freaking competition... like just chill. The engagement was the icing on the top for me, not only did JJ tell him that she likes Keifer, she also rejected his proposal but he still managed to force her to get engaged by using her families bankruptcy as a leverage... like what??? and then he acted as if he had nothing to do with it.
SECTION E: nothing much, they were funny but at times could be annoying, like how do they all have issues that they refuse to solve and are waiting on someone else to help them out like what....
JJ FAM: one of the worst families to ever exist. The fact that they didn't even think about asking for her opinion on this whole engagement is actually crazy work. And then they had the nerve to tell her that if she hates it she can call it off, after they have already publicly announced it and they they proceeded to guilt trip her and saying well if you don't get engaged with Yuri then we will go bankrupt and it will be your fault like what... she is 17 yrs old....

ACTING:
one of the worst acting I've ever encountered.... JJ's acting was watchably good but it wasn't spectacular, everyone else was just horrible... I legit couldn't really keep on watching because the acting was imply so embarrassing but I understand that they are all newbies to the industry.

MUSIC:
some absolute bangers were introduced to me through this series, the miss universe song is stuck on repeat and that tibok one too, not to mention daleng.

CHEMISTRY:
the only reason why I wanted to stay til the end, the chemistry between JJ (ashtine) and Keifer (Andres) was just impeccable, both on stage and off stage.... but I don't know why their agency has been pushing Yuri (rabin) with ashtine more than Andres considering they are the main couple.

LAST EPISODE:
this is what I've been waiting for... no unnecessary plot but most of all KEIFER was actually acting instead of reading a script.
this was truly the best episode by far.. it makes me want to wait for a season 2 and is also the only reason why I didn't rate this show a 4.5

OVERALL:
just don't waste your time on this show, it made me lose brain cells!! from the acting to the characters, to the horrendously written wattpad story.

Very confusing unnecessary plot!!!

the love triangle was simply not even necessary, actually it wasn't even a love triangle it was more or so a love circle/ hectagon
because everybody liked everybody. I'm not sure if it was the faulty subs that were very clearly written by AI or if it was truly the plot that was confusing but every second of the show had me questioning everything, like it made no sense!

the girl in the library and that toxic boy band singer ex were simply a horrendous addition to the plot, they weren't needed at all! I don't know where the writers were trying to go with those two but they were just there. The ex was highly toxic from start to finish, I should have known considering he's in a band as a lead singer and he also has BLOND hair. He treated girls like trash and he would hit on multiple at the same time but I'm supposed to believe that he truly liked that librarian chick.. yeah right!! also that ex never at all genuinely apologized to that cute girl... but instead he saw when she was at her lowest and decided to hit on her again... like boy are you crazy??? not to mention the girl actually almost accepted if not for that short kid coming in for the rescue.

the short kid was the only one that I didn't really find infuriating, he liked his best friend's girlfriend but he tried his best to move on and allow for them to be happy, I feel his hurt considering he liked her first but bro should have confessed and acted upon his feelings if he truly liked her. I don't like when he kissed the girlfriend but he did also own up to it and admitted to kissing her to the best friend which I applaud a lot!!! He seemed as if he was the only one who was truly mature enough in this movie.

that short cute girl with blondish hair and cute eyes was just too cute, I loved her but she was also getting on my last nerve like girl stand up... that guy has a whole girlfriend.. in a sense she was kind of wanting to be a homewrecker and she even went as far as befriending the girlfriend in hopes of breaking them apart.. I just felt really bad for her because she had no real idea of how love is supposed to look or feel like because her good for nothing ex boyfriend ( the blond band dude) just treated her so horribly. like homegirl legit bought a whole concessions stall just to please him but because he didn't see ONE I repeat ONE thing that he wanted, he broke up with her. so it was only natural for her to fall for the first guy that treated her nicely which was the tall kid that kind of reminds me of byeon-seok. But her deliberately doing all of that IN FRONT of the girlfriend was just a big NO

the tall kid was just there also, he didn't add or remove anything from the plot except for looking like byeon-seok

the girlfriend that started off with one of the worst cases of hair extensions possibly seen on camera was annoying, she kept constantly telling the short kid that "it just doesn't seem like him" umm.... how would you know.... you've completely forgotten about him once you started dating that tall kid, he isn't the same middle school kid that you knew, he has changed! instead of her being happy for him finally getting into a relationship it seemed almost like she was jealous and she was lowkey hating on the relationship between him and that cute short girl with blondish hair.. and then not to mention when her and the short kid tripped and kind of fell into an awkward position she didnt think once to simply push him off of her but instead she let the short kid kiss her, she didn't even once try to push him away, the "fake girlfriend" of the short kid had to open the door and fins them kissing for the guy to finally pull away... THE GUY... not her... she has a whole man but she didn't even think about pushing that kid off and then guess what?? she ran to her boyfriend and started crying like girl you legit let him kiss you, i don't know what you are even crying for

the subs were so bad that I just wanted to drop the whole show but I guess my 20 minutes of jpn classes kind of paid off since I was able to understand some things.

the music was just simply that BLOND kids band singing the entire time and it was in English, I'm not one to judge but I think the song would have sounded way better if they were just simply in Japanese instead of english.

the only reason why I give this a 3 is because the cute girl ends up with that short kid, which I love.. they are both so cute together!!

Show of the year

let me start off by saying that the acting was just chef's kiss, the casting director did their little thing when picking the cast!

The story is very immersive and very simple to comprehend! it highlights the struggles that she had to go through in order the status that she had always dreamed of i love the fact that they didn't make the Female lead a "Damsel in distress" but rather a woman just fighting to survive in a cruel world all on her own. I loved the Male lead as well , he didn't view the FL as someone weak but rather a person who would do anything to be successful and in doing so he would treat her harshly but it was so she would learn how to depend on herself and pick herself back up no matter what! he was always there for her but he allowed for her to be the Leader that he knew she could become.

the chemistry was amazing, although we had minimal to no romance scenes, the chemistry between the ML and FL was just overflowing throughout the entirety of the show. They've acted before as love interests so it was nice to see them once again on the big screen, they have each grown immensely in their field and this show allows for them to showcase their wide range of acting abilities.

the makeup, the set, the songs, the outfits, everything just looks so carefully Thought out. it looks like a very expensive..

i cried so many times watching this show, the first time i cried was legit in episode 1!! this show is just sooo good! its hard to not like it! the only thing i hated was the ending hence why if i were to rewatch it, i would simply skip the ending and make up my own!
