Lu Jiming was a horrible boss, but he was not her boyfriend/husband during the show, so it's not as bad as what's happening in this drama.

My biggest problem with this drama is the FL's wardrobe. Everyone else is dressed sexy and sophisticated, and she dresses like a frumpy librarian in bright colors. The lead actress has a beautiful figure, but she is covered in so much fabric. The dresses she wears for the two major events in show are so bad.

I thought that would be when they divorced, too. It was shocking when she acted like nothing happened.

I'm tired of everyone telling FL to hold onto ML. All they see is a handsome doctor and don't look beneath the surface. It is also FL's fault for never confiding in her family or her best friend how he treated her and acted during their marriage. There are so many specific examples that would have them taking her side, e.g. his leaving for US without even telling her, how he never once told her he loved her, how he never talked to her and it was always the best friend that would tell her about his work, etc, etc

ML has still not apologized to FL for the past or when he treats her badly in the present.

It's a lot of apathy, neglect, inconsideration, and shutting her out. Flashbacks end around ep9.

Sadly, not really. We might see a change in ep21 and beyond, but even after divorce, she's still running around taking care of him.

Poor SML being strung along and ignored. He is truly smitten to put up with that hot mess going on with her ex-husband and her family still treating him like son-in-law.

Is show trying to make draw a parallel between how ML didn’t fight to keep his son just like how he didn’t fight to keep his wife? I don’t get why else he would just let the birth mother take his kid away to a strange city with no family. Maybe I could buy it if they stayed local and he could visit son whenever, but not like how it played out.

And he’s still using the kid to manipulate the FL, even from a distance. Despicable.

The hospital scenes are not that bad, nothing cringey so far except for usual patients fighting with doctor we see in every cdrama. The medical lingo seems on point. They don’t show any blood or guts during operations.

You should write summaries professionally. That was excellent.

They need to start the redemption journey for the male lead already. Between the past, his horrible bedside manner, and child neglect, I need some reason to want FL to be with him.
