It's a waste when all the anticipated scenes from trailers and MVs have been cut and one can just barely follow the storyline.

Well, it’s a change to see a small woman who can’t fight back against a big man, more realistic than all the dramas where a scrawny girl is beating up a huge warrior.

I felt like there were 3 or 4 episodes missing during this whole war situation. It is really obvious this was a 40 episode drama cut down to 25, such a jumbled mess.

Ep 15-16 is a return to the bad editing we saw in the first few episodes. So many weird jumps and skips. How did Bai Lu end up from passing out on the floor to her bed? What was happening during her acid trip, when did memories turn into illusions when YW was trying to wake her? What was up with dramatic moment when Emperor saw her passed out to when he's trying to wake her up? How did general and princess escape from the water/well? Did Bai Lu really spot a star in the sky during daytime? And so on and so on...this is starting to stretch the limits of suspension of disbelief.

I finally got to the reveal, but I'm getting tired of the drama. So long, so many characters...

The most memorable characters in this drama were Mr. Jin and Yi Hui because I've never seen these actors in a modern drama. It's hard to believe Mr. Jin is the heavenly emperor from Eternal Love/Love & Destiny and Zhao Lusi's shifu in WRTW. He looks so much younger and handsomer without the wig and beard. And Yi Hui is Ming Lan's step mom being crafty instead of dumb!

Can somebody just give me a spoiler about the Vice Lord of Lize Palace? Does he hate Si Feng because he wants control of Lize sect or is he actually working for Sky Hall?

She gets a tongue lashing from Qin Shi that embarrasses her, but no real comeuppance.

I'm totally over them. Their willingness to die for each other is not romantic. It's just idiocy.

@BearFightingFanBackAgain I don't even respect her critiques of production values ever since I watched her review of Ming Lan. She criticized the lighting when it was the first cdrama I've watched that used natural lightning and made the whole drama look historically accurate. And for LLTG, she complained about the hairstyles and the clothes being too plain. She has her own level of nitpicking that is not in line with the general viewer.

The most realistic (or the only realistic) aspect of the law firm is how much that office manager likes to gossip. And with Li Dai gone, he now gossips with Qin Shi.

Seriously, the general and princess are just there to be sad all the time.

Omg, Feifei is so annoying!! All she does is pout and throw tantrums like a spoiled child. She can’t even handle adulting, how can she be a lawyer and a wife?
