I can live with the visuals, but I can’t get used to the voice dubbing. I watched Ming Lan way too many times I can’t reconcile the strange voice coming out of FSF’s face. When the shot is not on him, I can’t even tell who’s talking. Also, I think all the women’s voice sound similar; FL, princess, the lieutenant-turned-consort all sound the same to me.
Did we actually ever find out who the secret big boss is? The one Gao Jun and Fang Jianshe work for? Is it the same as the "company" that originally hired Tan Shen and his crew?
I was really looking forward to this as I loved FSF in TSOML, but from the new poster and the trailer...the production values don't look anywhere close to the other Novoland dramas. The special effects in trailer look cheap and the cinematography not so great.
I can't believe there are only 3 episodes left and I still have no clue what is happening in this drama. I only know for sure the motives of RZZ and her in-laws. Everyone else is a total mystery. And when RZZ found out TS's real identity, why didn't we see her asking him any questions? Like...are you really a lawyer? What kind of lawyer? Why do have so many investigator friends? Who told you all those details about my high school? Do you know the real GJ? OMG, so many questions!
based on future episodes, it look like the writer decided to suddenly make Second FL evil, like??? what happen…
I'm more confused by how top lawyer Qin Shi becomes an errand girl fetching files and water for others. It's one thing to lose her office, but how does she fall all the way down to that level?
I binged all the way up to e[ 25 so far. I am very pleasantly surprised by how gripping the mystery is and the gradual feelings that are building between ML and FL. And the music is also very good.
Is the drama rating 8.0 because all the 2nd couple skippers (like me) have not rated it yet? I know I would not rate it as high as 8 considering I'm only watching half of all the episodes...
So just to clarify: When FL overheard ML telling a friend he didn't show up for the date because he didn't like shallow brains, he was referring to shallow [pig] brains as a dish at a restaurant and not to people with shallow brains?
BUT that still means that he did deliberately stand her up, even if that comment was not an insult of her.
Another scene cut, apparently Youku has taken the initiative to have multiple scenes cut that connect the dots…
On topic of cut scenes, how did FL and SFL end up getting dumplings that the ML left behind on the table in the cafeteria after his friend teased him? Were they the same dumplings he bought for her or what?
It is watchable, but it doesn't live up to the premise. We're only to episode 8 and the fantasy element seems to already be forgotten and the ML is now just any typical jealous guy in a contemporary drama. He has adapted way too quickly to modern times and is even using English casually in conversation. They really skipped over all the fish-out-of-water comedy and just had him become a fully modern person in 2 episodes time.
He asked her in Episode 14 and she said her parents very conservative and don't like blogging positively and when…
Ok, so isn’t her scheme to make him fall for an airhead blown? Now he knows she must be smart/educated if her family believes she works at a university.
BUT that still means that he did deliberately stand her up, even if that comment was not an insult of her.
And also, it took him until episode 14 to ask?!
