yes the MDL crowd tends to dismiss these types of dramas, it's such a shame. I'm sure it'll get the ratings it deserves on other platforms.

Idk why everyone is taking it to heart lol, and I'm also into all the themes tackled in the show, what i don't find particularly riveting is the execution and craftsmanship of the show in terms of writing and pacing and emotional weight. I just meant that there are many movie and shows who have done it better, and while this show is good , it's not as spectacular as the reviews and the ratings make it seem. As simple as that. This is a discussion section after all where we can express our opinions without taking it personally.

ikr.. i knew it was gonna get a bad rep from kdrama fans because of the gore and Miike's weirdness. If gory/violent/ weird crime scifi is not your thing don't watch this and don't bring the rating down!

Ikr!! I never rely on MDL for ratings, I just use it to read comments and organize my watchlist. letterboxd ratings and reviews are the best indicator for me. It makes me sad tho to see so many amazing works go unnoticed on here, but it is a drama focused platform after all.
