I think the ending showed the biggest problem of our 24 hr news circle and in general the problem with instant results and instant gratification we have in the age of the internet. I think Snow wasn't the best plot device bc it changed the mood of the show from optimist to paranoid and creepy. Having said that, it is a very optimist look to the future, and very rare instance of a realist view and practical use of AI. Really give me hope for the future. Besides Snow, of course. I really liked this show. Great acting, great vituals, great message.
I think the strongest thing about this show is other over theme of self improvement and that anyone can become, if you're not already, a productive member of society. And if you are, there's always more to learn and much further you can go. I personally find that very uplifting and refreshing. A lot of shows these days seem like the embodiment of the 'this is fine' dog in a house on fire meme. This one stands out to me for not being that.
I just re watched this after watching Oshi no Oujisama (My Fair Prince) and although I haven't watched the spin off of that bc I can't find it, this show really feels like it could be a spiritual successor for Oshi no Oujisama. Not bc of the themes but the overall setting and like a spiritual continuation of the story. Thinking of it that way definitely made me like this show even more
I couldn't find the original version on the ending credits song even though I found the artist (Note Ratthakorn Komol) but I found chinese versions of both the theme song and the ending song Theme song: https://youtu.be/4Yq_3NaT-Ck Ending song: https://youtu.be/BpzMGOP3zeU
Overal I liked the episode and it seems like a promising series, but I think that the obsession is just a little…
All the obsession scenes made me cringe laugh and think, I mean he's cute but still this guy needs to calm down, it's way too much. So I didn't get the feeling that they were endorsing his behavior. I think it was supposed to make you cringe. Also P'Nuea kept acting like he didn't see him or didn't know what he was doing and cute smiling at all of it. I get the feeling that while weird and not okay, that it's not as one sided at Toh thinks.
the classroom and ending credit scenes had addicted vibes to it. Im getting flash backs 😭😂Also for those…
Yes and specifically it's a Beijing dialect, just like in Addicted. For Taiwan and Hong Kong, while they have completely different languages, they both can read and write in Traditional Chinese. But many of them do also speak Mandarin.
