Back when Zhao Lusi was doing back to back dramas, I was a little alarmed and posted more than once that I hope she doesn't fall out. Unfortunately, she did. That precious sweet little girl is now if-y on returning to dramas. Even with DGZ being a man and looking strong on the outside, only he knows the struggle to remain fit and young. I'm also concerned about him crashing with these back to back dramas.

Your post actually made me sad. To think that he has no life outside of making these dramas made my eyes well up a bit. I read Youtube reports of what Chinese actors have to endure. I wonder if he experiences normalcy? With all his kisses given away to one actress after another. Sorry, I've been feeling a bit melancholy lately. Never mind me. ha I do enjoy his dramas but I would like to see a deeper side of him and move towards mainstream.
I'm really disappointed right now. I mean, come on, I saw Vampire and Dai Gao Zheng and thought this would be…
Maybe it's the company who holds his contract who keep him pigeon-holed in these never changing, never-challenging roles, simply for his kisses, his lips, his body, etc etc. Which is sad because I saw him play a normal person in a support role and he wasn't bad. With work he can move into mainstream dramas as a great character, and move away from the mini-dramas.
Your description reminds me of Yang Yang kissing the FL in Love O2O. The actress was so stiff and didn't move…
But anybody, including Ren, who doesn't do romance, and kissing is a huge part of that, shouldn't do romance dramas. He can do other dramas that are his strength without the FL . IMHO lol However, I loooved him in Blue Whisper though. OMG such a huge power drama. Both 1 AND 2. Another one that left me crying for days was One and Only. sigh...

Yay I'm so thrilled to hear that. He deserves that title imho. lol Hope to see more since so many dramas love scenes are becoming more and more lame. Including Xiao Zhan's "Legend of Zang Hai".
For those in the comments who consider themselves progressive and advocate for strong female leads, it's surprising…
BUT! On the other hand, if one doesn't like the criticisms, don't read them. It's like not wanting to hear anything but good things and not a balance of both, which is extremely bias. If I wish to say that a female actor is annoying, I sure don't wish to be scolded like a child when I'm 70 yrs old and have experienced quite a bit on a professional level. And why do I voice criticisms? Maybe because I would like my voice to be heard and maybe because I grew up believing in two sided issues and had an adult life where I did feedbacks and critiques etc and felt that both sides should be heard. If it's one-sided, then what's the point? I don't live in La La Land. (where I draw the line is the horrible hating type slamming that some fanaticals seem to relish in) BTW, *this is voicing my thoughts and not an insult or slam to anyone on here. this drama above ratedEverlasting longing much better Than this drama . I tried to watch it but I couldn't because…
I felt guilty that I lost interest because I love Song Wei Long. But I didn't feel any chemistry between the two leads. The FL just irritated me and I didn't think she fit SWL at all. So I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't care for it. SWL did a Sci-Fi last year and he did so much better at that genre than this one.

Right? The first time Liu Yu Ning had such a passionate love scene. It was wonderful and I hope there is more coming in his future dramas cuz he's good at it. He has now fixed his spot in the Male Lead position.
so you are telling me she has a power to remove the kiss scenes? thats so weird.
Pretty much yeah. If she has a no-kissing contract with her company, the director has to follow "her" rules. But it's the director's fault for even choosing her.
