Actually it's "The Eternal Love" not to be mixed up with the Eternal Love franchise. All 3 seasons are excellent. I was introduced to C-Dramas, XZL, and Liang Jie all at the same time. I wish he would go back doing serious costume dramas but he is happy doing theater now I guess.
Later, XZL and Jie collab again in "You Are My Destiniy 2020" a cute modern rom-com. But many of these started to stereotype him in these rom-coms and it became redundant. I would love to see a serious full length costume drama with him again.

I just found this out recently too. I miss him very much since he was my first ML in my very first C-Drama. But it's like he needs to do different genres. And break away from his CEO stereotypical roles and mannerisms. smh Even this one seems to be the same old characters. sigh.... He needs to go back and do a serious costume drama again.

I'm only on Ep 5 and have seen a few but not excessive. In XZL's "The Eternal Love 1,2,3" it was revealed that him and his FL Liang Jie kissed 80 times. lol and I loved every single one! That was his best drama IMHO.

I will have to re-watch that bc all I remember is that he didn't want to be with her from the beginning and went to Fan Ya Ke to confess his love.

Fair. I've seen some that are worthy but then they don't have the "romance" tag. I agree that it's a preference but I love romantic intimate kissing etc if it is going to have the romance genre. I don't want the sex part, just the passionate kissing is enough for me. lol I do love this one and I even didn't mind just the hugging which usually annoys me. It's due to the acting and the directing and the execution of the plotline AND yes the chemistry is so there despite the no kissing zone. ha Now that she is filming with Deng Wei who is older than HMH, for her new drama, it will be interesting to see what happens. I cannot wait for HMH and Esther Yu's drama which will probably be full of intimacy bc that is what the synopsis is hinting at.

It's very strange but I can't stop watching it. The singer is amazing though. I will look up the OST. At least I get to see XZL in a different role. I wish he would come back to full length dramas in a serious capacity and not so cheesy.

Read the synopsis. It's not the rom-com genre, they have finally given him a more serious role outside of the stereotypical CEO. I am excited. I've missed him.

I will start today. I'm stoked to see XZL again and this time he is doing a different genre instead of the stereotypical CEO in a rom-com. I really was wishing that he would finally get out of that role and do sthg more serious to show his acting chops. You go Xing Zhao Lin!!!

Fair, you have every right to that opinion and nobody has the right to take that from you. But with me, I respectfully disagree. If they are not blood I don't see anything wrong with having a relationship. It's all good. The main thing with this is that they are virtually strangers.
