What a bizarre comment. Who's the haters? And since when is kissing explicit? You obviously haven't seen "Pursuit of Jade", one of the highest ranking drama in China a few months ago. That one would scar you for life. lol

She has a long ways to go and I'm looking forward to seeing her career go forward. I really hope she doesn't get into the bad part of the industry like Zhao Lu Si did, though. Also, not overdo it like some of these actresses who do back to back to back dramas til they're exhausted. smh What do you think of that young actor, Huang Yi?
I just found out about this by accident and I am almost delirious with excitement. I really hope for the best for him in this new genre and that he has finally gotten away from the Rom-coms that had him stuck in the same roles!! I cannot wait for this! Wonder what he's been up to and why he disappeared from Dramaland? Best of luck, XLJ.

I would love to see her cast with Leo Wu or Alan Chen and even though they are 26, they are at least closer to her age. I did a little research and found that Huang Yi, 22, who has been SL for lots of excellent dramas, maybe needs to step into a ML role with AiMi. Plus he is a cutie pie and a really good actor. heheh

I was debating on YT yesterday about whether a romance should or should not have kissing and my take is a resounding YES! The one I was debating against says that a romance drama can be done without "all that kissing" and I said yes in certain circumstances. This drama is an example of how they made it work without the intimacy and just hugs, which in the past has driven me bonkers! I HATE that. lol But the acting and the chemistry and the overall storyline and intrigue and fighting scenes made up for the hugs. However, I don't want to keep watching her with these older actors only to expect once again no kissing, no intimacy. Ex: Allen Ren needs to stop doing romance dramas bc he has a no kissing/intimacy rule and it just gets ridiculous! It gets so boring. Anyway, I would love to see her with Leo Wu or Arthur Chen, although they are 26, they are closer to 18. BTW what actors ARE 21, 22? I don't know.
Yes I found out later after I posted this. Thx. But now she is currently filming another costume drama with Deng Wei, who is 31. smh Wish they would find MLs who were at least in their early 20s. sigh...

Well, she is now currently filming another costume drama only this time with someone even older than HMH; Deng Wei. sigh Don't get me wrong, I like him as an actor, but where are all the MLs closer to her age? But that's just me I guess.
I'm on episode 5, and this is getting hard to watch. Ai Mi is way too young to be a female lead in a romance drama.…
Look up how many actors have started at young ages with romantic scenes and large age gaps. Zhao Lusi for one. If we were to really look at the numbers, I'm sure most of them have had those type of roles. But you will find, SPOILER: there is no kissing and one kiss on the forehead and one scene where he lays her down but there is no intimacy NONE. Many hugs though. It's almost as if HMH is like her older brother and he protects her from feeling uncomfortable. Their performances and even their chemistry is nice. I am a PDA person for real but this drama has so much going on that you hardly notice the lack of intimacy. Go for it, it's a fun ride, never knowing what's going to happen next!
Wow, she's beautiful. She looks like she's in her 20s, and she's very mature for her age. This should've had kiss…
IMHO I believe it's out of respect for her young age and the 11 year age gap between her and HMH. I bet he sees her as a younger sister. With that thought in mind, it made my frustration about no intimate or kissing scenes easier to take and just enjoy the acting and the tenderness. The fight scenes are great though. And yes, going forward, I hope to see her in more romantic roles. One thing tho: with these young actors doing kiss scenes all the time, if the most dedicated actor, they are still human. I wonder how much distortion happens re real life romance. So many I have seen in the last 6 years get older and have done tons of romantic scenes and are still single. Mentally I wonder what the damage is to never knowing that true romance? Just my thoughts.
Nope just lots of hugs. I know it's cuz of her age and the age gap, but it would have added so much to their chemistry and the intense love they had for each other. Oh well, maybe in the next couple of years AiMi will get really great romantic dramas in the future. She is really good.
The drama would've been better if the actress wasn't under-aged during filming.
I am a huge pro-intimate scenes with good kissing, so was disappointed in the lack of all that and I know it's due to her age and the age gap. However it does play out okay except the times when you are anticipating a kiss, like the reuniting and all they do is hug. But, the action and the fighting are worth it. HMH is very good except I've always had a problem with him (in other dramas too) where his mouth looks as though he is ready to bust out laughing. Which makes it very strange when he is supposed to be fierce.
I seriously don't know how to feel about this drama. Each time I'm watching an ep it's entertaining enough, but…
It's uncanny that you spoke how I feel many times during dramas. I do crafts and sell them and that takes a lot of my energy, that and I like the Youtube stories, so I get distracted and then, like you, find it hard to get back to the drama. Some are too good and I can't wait, but a lot of times, I lose interest. As much as I love Zhang Linghe, I dropped Overdo. As much as I love Esther Yue, I dropped Road to Success. Glad to know I'm not alone.
Why is the rating just 8.4 ???? It's an amazing drama that has everything but not kiss scenes and I believe that's…
Her age and the large age gap, is more than likely the reason for the lack of kissing and intimate scenes. Too bad, I feel it would have been more intense and thus the score would have been higher.
Ai Mi is just Amazing as a Actress. I am almost done with Key to the phoenix Heart. She has acting Talent way…
Her age may be why there isn't any kissing or intimate scenes. Also HMH is 29, so the age gap could be the reason also. Which is extremely disappointing to me.
At first, the dialogues seemed too simple and ragged to me, the scenes somehow jumped too fast. But overall, the…
Is the lack of intimacy bc of her age? She being 18 and HMH being 29. I love the drama but with the kind of love he is supposed to have for her, the passion and chemistry seems to be lacking. Currently I'm on EP 25, so no spoilers. Just opinion. lol BTW I'm referring to kissing and intimate scenes.
