Have been reading the good comments that this is really good but why can't I finish one episode without skipping...I…
Watch Speed and Love. It's so deliciously hot and He Yu and Esther Yu have sizzling chemistry! BTW, I made myself watch Sniper Butterfly regardless of it's problems cuz I really wanted it to get better. it does, but then other things have popped up that annoy me. I'm on 25 now and yes I will finish it, but I'm giving it a 7.5.
While I started out being invested in this romance drama, I love age-gap dramas, I am finding the ML a bit tedious at times. He is so awkward in the kissing scenes like he's some overgrown 16 year old who is still mastering the art of kissing and knowing where to put his hands and arms. It's annoying. I really didn't care for the first 10 or so episodes due to his one word, one syllable answers. I understand what he was supposed to betray, but they overdid it and I almost dropped it. But I stuck with it due to other things that had me want to explore more. Now I'm almost done (Ep 25) and some scenes make me prickle with irritation. At times, I don't feel the chemistry one little bit. Like it's being forced. I also pick up on scenes where there are pauses that are too long or in the wrong place and it makes for sloppy awkwardness. All in all, I rate this a 7.5 because I don't see anything changing for the rest of this drama.
Wallace Chung is a brilliant actor. His emotional character's execution of mental illness was amazing in Because of Love. So I am extremely saddened to read these disappointed reviews of a lackluster drama. I blame the director if a drama ranks low with stellar actors in it. I will not be watching it.
I detect a serous mental instability. First of all, one slap, whether it be male or female, is never acceptable. Second, I would like to suggest therapy for you. Your rhetoric is so indicative of a broken mindset. And no, you can't draw me into your distorted narrative. I'm just here to suggest that you need help.
While I love watching Dai Gao Zheng's lips, his acting leaves a lot to be desired. It's painful to watch the over dramatization of his roles. I actually found myself enjoying Liu Bo more. He acts so much more natural. This was good and I liked the storyline, but Dai Gao Zheng, pleeease tone it down!
Not watched it yet, but I had to come on here and scream about the intro OST. My gosh, that sounds like something from a mainstream high ranking drama intro. I'm saving it to my playlist. Amazing.
I lost it at "surgically precise haircut" 😂😂😂 Thanks for the good laugh! Let me start watching now just…
Back when Zhao Lusi was doing back to back dramas, I was a little alarmed and posted more than once that I hope she doesn't fall out. Unfortunately, she did. That precious sweet little girl is now if-y on returning to dramas. Even with DGZ being a man and looking strong on the outside, only he knows the struggle to remain fit and young. I'm also concerned about him crashing with these back to back dramas.

Your post actually made me sad. To think that he has no life outside of making these dramas made my eyes well up a bit. I read Youtube reports of what Chinese actors have to endure. I wonder if he experiences normalcy? With all his kisses given away to one actress after another. Sorry, I've been feeling a bit melancholy lately. Never mind me. ha I do enjoy his dramas but I would like to see a deeper side of him and move towards mainstream.
I'm really disappointed right now. I mean, come on, I saw Vampire and Dai Gao Zheng and thought this would be…
Maybe it's the company who holds his contract who keep him pigeon-holed in these never changing, never-challenging roles, simply for his kisses, his lips, his body, etc etc. Which is sad because I saw him play a normal person in a support role and he wasn't bad. With work he can move into mainstream dramas as a great character, and move away from the mini-dramas.
I do enjoy his dramas but I would like to see a deeper side of him and move towards mainstream.
