Maybe it's to be a humanity drama where it points out the flaws of our society, but from what little I watched and hearing more from you, it sounds nothing more than men preening their superiority. sigh... wow! Unfortunately, someone posted sthg about her without putting it on spoiler and I guess she died of a brain aneurysm. Poor thing, even worse as you said. But the "men's societal expectation of the right to power", is so prevalent in this drama and how women are perceived, etc. The misogyny is thick. The shocker is, the FL had all that trouble with her boss re sexual harassment and here her own husband is engaging in the same sick game. I don't think I will continue watching this as it's very dark and depressing. Not to mention, it's hard to understand some of the more complex dialogue re business practices in this industry. Thank you so much for the great discussion.

Wow, in this day and age when this is a huge no-no in society, much less the industry, I'm surprised this got approved. I mean censorship is so strict in China, we can barely get passionate kisses much less sex abuse. Thx for telling me, makes my decision a no-brainer.

Just finished and I'm still sniffling from the last 3 episodes when things are winding down and he begins to realize that she is truly not of his world. The death of Tiehan had me crying so hard I got a terrible headache. Haiming's crying undid me. You can see those tears flowing out of his eyes. No fake stuff here people. And then them crying together has me tearing up again just writing this, remembering that scene. The moment the ring hit the floor, him saying "I love you", the scenes where he was in the same place she was but they couldn't see each other. sigh.... I loved this drama. I loved the cast, the plotline, the acting, the music really added to the atmosphere and the things happening along with it. I enjoyed "Love Between Lines" there is something crazy sexy about Chen Xing Xu in a uniform. But this was a whole different vibe and of course a different plot and I loved it a bit more than his other one. But that is what makes him such a great actor. He can play two different parts and still make it good. Same with Wang Yu Wen. I love her character and everything she does. I love PDA in a drama and they didn't disappoint. More directors should give us some good tease. I love a great drama that has me thinking back to it time and time again. So I give this a solid 9. 5.

LOL yeah that's happened to me a couple times when I watch the same actor in two dramas at the same time. What's really confusing is when one drama is a modern and the other is a costume. ha Thx for the answer to the question though. Happy drama watching.
