The script didn’t change — she just went back in time after trying to marry the second lead over and over and dying every time. She didn’t give up, but somehow the script pulled her back like a whole year before all that. That’s why she’s trying to kill him now — to avoid the mess she already lived through. We actually don’t know what’s going to happen this time.

She’s reacting to actual attempts on her life. He’s not just misunderstood—he’s been violent, and she’s absolutely allowed to be scared. People forget she’s not seeing the full picture like we are. From her side, he is dangerous.

Actually, I love that all the special scenes have him in a mask! It adds so much mystery and tension. I think it’s brilliant that she’s saying her true feelings without realizing who he really is — it shows how honest she can be when she thinks she’s safe. Plus, it gives Nan Heng a chance to really see who she is beneath the surface, without all the masks and pretenses. That dynamic is so layered and intense, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite parts of the drama. The slow reveal and the emotional buildup make it so much more exciting to watch. Can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
