Just a little PSA: you can sympathise with the ML WITHOUT hating FL
Exactly. You can acknowledge the ML’s pain without erasing the fact that the FL is just trying to survive. It’s not that deep — both can be complex at the same time.
Stop trying to create a narrative like people are just reacting cuz ml is hot or whatever. Ppl Are reacting this…
He’s not being hated for some predicted future. He’s being hated because he’s already done messed-up things — no “script” made him do it. Nobody’s inventing slander. He earned that suspicion.
And let’s be honest: if this was a female character who’d tried to kill the ML multiple times, people would be frothing at the mouth dragging her for being “evil,” “toxic,” and “beyond redemption.” But because he’s a broody tragic male lead, suddenly we’re all supposed to go, “Poor baby, let’s protect him.
This drama is really funny & enjoying so much. But, I am afraid that I am going to start disliking the FL if she…
I get where you’re coming from, but let’s be fair—Nan Heng did try to kill her multiple times. It’s not just the old script she’s reacting to, it’s the real danger she’s faced in this new version too.
And she hasn’t even realized yet that the script is changing. Of course she’s going to be cautious and suspicious. That’s not being dumb — that’s survival. Give her the space to grow like everyone else.
I totally agree that Nan Heng’s suffering explains a lot about him. But remember how many times he tried to…
Exactly! People love to excuse his flaws but jump all over her for the same moves. Both characters have layers and reasons behind their actions — that’s what makes the story interesting. Can’t wait to see how they both grow!
the way some of yall are constantly coming at the FL, this is the case of watching from one point of view and…
I totally agree that Nan Heng’s suffering explains a lot about him. But remember how many times he tried to kill her—and that wasn’t the script controlling him, that was his own choice.
And yet, the only one getting called annoying or dumb is the FL for fighting back or being cautious? That double standard is wild. Both of them are flawed, but only she gets the hate—and that’s just unfair.
Some of y’all are doing a lot for a drama that’s 8 episodes into a 40-episode run 😭 “It’s dragging”? “She’s dumb”? Be for real.
She literally read the original script where her character gets cheated on, abused by the ML, and humiliated by her own sister — and y’all expected her to just go along with it? Of course she’s trying to dodge that mess. That’s not “dumb,” that’s called having basic survival instinct. Did we forget Nan Heng literally tried to kill her multiple times? 💀 And I do feel bad for him sometimes — you can tell he’s twisted by his past. But she doesn’t know what’s real or safe, and she’s not obligated to play along just to make him feel better.
Every facial expression Li Yitong delivers in this drama is pure perfection 😭 She’s absolutely charming, and her timing in those quirky, comedic moments is spot on. I’m genuinely so happy to see her finally getting the recognition and praise she deserves for this role.
