They changed only the Thai name from Kidnap: Secret Hire Steal to Kidnap: Secret Hire Love. But the common name ppl are calling it just "Kidnap Series". The name literally did not bring justice to the plot 😂

Can we make a petition to MDL to change the Genres to Rom-com, drama, romance 😂. Everyone read the title and expected it to be heavily crime-centered BL and then left feeling disappointed because they watched it with different standards. If they have known it is rom-com, lighthearted, healing BL in the first place, then it would make more sense. The series is not at fault if you judge it using the criteria for crime series but not rom-com series. Yes, the kidnapping thing is just an excuse for a romance to start and not the whole plot of the story. It is a slice of life of a kidnapper and kidnappee. If you are here for romantic relaxing series for every Friday night, then watch Kidnap Series on Netflix

oh I got it. The poster for JJEp4 combines the numbers of posts of both the keyword and hashtag. That's why it crossed the 1M. But the hashtag has only 500k+. Woa that's a new concept. We should pressure GMM to sum up the KW and hashtag for Kidnap too.

I don't mind at all at your feedbacks. Leng's acting is lacking which is true. I just hope ppl would stay tune until the final EP despite his shortcoming
1.Abt your inquiry abt Thai BL, I don't think they will change anything for a forseeable future. Their entertainment industry is not as strict and demanding of acting skills as those in Korea, Japan or Hollywood (excluding national-wise lakorns with top actors). They want to make quick money with cheap production. The fastest way is eye candy pairings. And I don't lie that I fall for their trick too. Majority of BL fans do, in fact. Especially with GMM bL and pairings. They have created rules only applicable to themselves. They are so good at manipulating us.
2. To me, chemistry and acting must go hand in hand for Thai BL. If acting is lacking, then chemistry should cover it. That's why I still like OhmLeng as MinQ . I wish L can act better but I wouldn't want to change him with anyone else. Bcos I like their chemistry together.
3. I still have my own movie taste and it is not low, I don't watch rubbish BL. If I go for high production, I will pick western ones. It's like I set Thai BL and western ones in two categories based on my purposes and I don't compare them at all. They serve different purposes when I watch them.

well I don't really care abt whether J&J is more "superior" according to you. I just care that there are probably 167 new watchers and some may leave but some may stick around to enjoy the show. The rating didn't drop much which indicates the right group of ppl who actually like ROM-COM did in fact come to watch this series and pretty much enjoyed it.

There are 167 new users gave the rating since the last update. And it's only dropped from 8.3 to 8.2 which is not bad at all, giving such how much of the"hatred" still lurking in the discussion. Not too bad. Hope to see more new watchers for Ep 5 and haters too. We need all the support from anyone to increase the views. If possible, please join us to trend for Ep 5 on X this Friday.

It is understandable that everyone has different tastes. Something you don't like maybe the favorite thing for others and vice versa. Ppl respect each other's choices. If I don't like something, I wouldn't waste my time to bad-mouth it, instead I'll go to different space to hype my favorites. I also dont like to compare different series. Each one serves different purposes and targets different groups of audience. Every series has weak and strong points. Your reviews would be less credible if you disregard all of the strength and improvements it has made after each EP.
I would be happy to discuss the weak/strong points if you are open-minded.

If you are into SUPER ROMANTIC stuff, oldstyle ROM-COM, typical BL tropes but make them make sense, then you can watch Kidnap. This story is more character-driven, than plot-driven. But somewhat realistic as showing how real ppl would react if they are put into situation like that. Most ppl who watched it all said it is the most BL bl ever as it is full of BL tropes but I am here for it.
