I was under the impression that China could never have an uncensored bl how exactly is this show happening lol…
Production companies in China can make BLs as long as they only release them to international audiences. Shows such as these are banned from Chinese entertainment platforms in China.
hello dear ,i don t know at all the story and didn't t start to watch the show.wanted to have infos from the chat…
NC is short for NC-17. It is the highest movie restriction rating and means “No children 17 and under”. R rated movies means that it is restrict and usually children need to be accompanied but an adult, but with NC-17, it means that children should not watch at all.
You nailed it! Your review of the series completely mirrors everything I felt about it. I'm a bit less generous though giving that I'd probably have rated it a 3 (or 2.5 if I wanted to be picky). I somehow managed to get through the entire show too since I also admired the effort, but so many things left me confused, including how and when the two main characters managed to fall madly in love with each other.
I feel the exact same way. Like I read the manhwa years ago and can barely remember the point and the show isn't making that any easier. It's super disjointed like there's a huge piece of story missing.
I just read the description and when they said high school I had questions. How old is the high school kid? They…
Countries can have different ideas about what makes someone "old" without that having anything to do with changing what middle age actually is. In China, women at 27 who are childless and unmarried are considered old and called "sheng nu" or leftover women. This is China's specific concept of what makes a woman old, but does that mean a 27 year old woman should be considered middle aged or leftover?
Kill me now, Hira is not developing at all as a human being, he has the same mindset and behavior from 4-5 years…
It's so sad. To literally say that you don't want to understand the person that you are dating...that had to have been so painful for Kiyoi. Like I don't even understand Hira. Most people in even normal fandoms would give up their first born to be in a relationship with an idol that they love and admire. Hira quite literally has the heart of the one he loves and worships yet he'd rather throw it away for the continued fantasy of who he thinks Kiyoi is. It's baffling.
It's interesting that people dump on Hira for being obsesse dwith Kiyoi to an unhealthy degree, but not on Kiyoi…
Wow, your ability to miss the mark of the last episode is spectacular. Like your words sound so hyperbolic they toe the line of trolling (not sure if you are or not, just notifying you).
Why would anyone be upset or dump on Kiyoi for falling in love with Hira? That makes no sense whatsoever. His heart wanted what it wanted and even he has questioned it himself multiple times in both seasons.
Kiyoi is also not okay with Hira's obsession. He has plainly stated that as well and Kiyoi's distaste toward Hira's obsession over him is exactly why they are fighting (Mildly curious to know how you interpreted the fight, if you were unaware of that). Also not sure if you realize this or not, but the first season has six episodes. You may have skipped the last one, but in it Kiyoi yells at Hira and tells him over and over that he's not a god and doesn't want to be seen as one. He's just a man who wants to be able to hold the one he loves, which just so happens to be Hira.
Also if you don't understand what it means to understand or want to understand another human being, in all seriousness, this may point to an empathy issue on your side, in which case, I would suggest therapy to help with that. In the case of Kiyoi not caring, the scene you are referring to is literally Kiyoi asking after Hira's parents and showing interest in other aspects of Hira's life. Hira doesn't do that for Kiyoi. Outside of Kiyoi's beauty and entertainment career we have, to date, seem zero interest from Hira toward other aspects of Kiyoi's life.
LOL, I remember those days of literal 30 seconds or more of actors having to sell the product to the audience.…
Right! That is the only reason why I'll never consider a GMMTV BL drama great even if it should be. The ads take away so much from the story. And this is unique to BLs only. I don't watch regular Thai dramas but I did see an actor mention that he'd never filmed a product placement scene before shooting his first BL. That info kind of pissed me off. Not only do they get revenue from the in video pre-adds on Youtube and the Youtube ad sense ads, they have to literally stop the show to shove the products in our faces and most are products that international fans can't even purchase. I hope that in the future some of these BLs get picked up by Netflix or something. If that happens they'd have to remove all the ad scenes.
