I think Mu Cheng Yun was not this annoying in the novel. He had very few scenes…

Maybe it’s because he’s from healthy family and his trauma is related to fl? I personally found him a lovely character. If you have time read the novel and see if you still find him bland. It’s a really great work so it definitely is worth the read.

The mutual love and respect is what made the novel so special to me. Even if it seems like a one sided love for now in the future episodes it will show the fl also loves him very much.

If you are not familiar with first frost you should definitely give it a try cause the novel was very well written. Although the genre is different from hl.

I saw a video on tt about sang yan from his sister’s pov (victor) and his lover’s(jingting) , i feel it explain the situation perfectly. Victor ma gives more of a brotherly vibe rather than a love interest ( him as sang yan ofc cause i would love a romance drama of him)

I like victor ma a lot. When i first heard of first frost making and knew he wasn’t the ml i was very upset although i also like bai jingting.. but reading the novel shut me up real good cause sang yan and jing ting are literally the same person.

Forget about all comments i’ve seen that said both lead don’t suit their role and their acting skills are lacking, i saw some saying the ml is ugly??? Are we watching the same show? Each time i see both leads on the screen i feel the need to wear sunglasses cause their visuals are blinding..

I believe everyone interprets a character in their own way, but to those who think the actor playing the male lead doesn’t suit the role, I’m sorry to say you’ve failed to understand the character. While reading the novel, I was constantly struck by how much the character and the actor resemble each other—it’s as if the character’s description was based on the actor’s appearance. Having seen the male lead in other dramas, I can confidently say that his demeanor and acting style suit the character perfectly.

“Flatmate with ML, admiring abs, clumsiness which is supposed to be cute” her character has way more depth that what first few episodes may show. If they haven’t changed the plot much from the novel, you can also realize this from future episodes.

The FL’s character is really complex. At first, I wasn’t convinced by the casting, but after watching the trailer and seeing her crying scenes, I felt as if the character had been brought to life. I don’t think they could have chosen a better cast. She really suits the role, and her acting is pretty decent (from what I’ve seen in the first four episodes and the trailer…).

Yes i agree. Hidden love was great but compared to ff it’s a bit lighthearted. Ff has angst so it makes it more appealing to me. I just hope they won’t ruin it by changing too much of the plot or by not releasing the series.
