It was one of those shows I put off watching and then I got upset at myself for waiting to long to watch it. The storyline is amazing and the FL and ML chemistry is unmatched. Don't let the amnesia trope get in the way of you watching it, because he eventually gets his memory back.

I was really looking forward to seeing Luke play this role, but I think Joss will do really well. Do you know what new role Joss got that made him switch Lakorn?

Overall I recommend giving it a chance!

The FL was bland and barley showed emotion. The ML whom I love didn't get the justice he deserved. The writers gave him literally nothing to work with and parts of the story made no sense. At some points it really lost its focus. I think it's also stupid how the ML is a "water god" but we see his powers like once or twice. Yes I understand the whole point was for him to lose his powers as punishment, but he literally went back to the spirit world and still came back with no powers. I loved that one scene where he turned the glass from the building turned into water. I would have LOVED to see more action packed scenes like that throughout the drama. At times it felt bland and boring and w/o the ML and side characters carrying this drama it would have been trash.

I thought they'd need Luke since they said that all the strippers must be fluent in English and Luke's first language is English so he'd be a perfect addition

I honestly think Pinkploy did an amazing job in Rahut Rissaya. She wasn't timid like a lot of FL.

That's exactly what I was thinking! It's crazy because the storylines are basically the same. The FL is also from the lakorn Rahut Rissaya which in a way is similar to this as well.

They will improve he even said on his youtube channel this was one of his first big roles ever. English is his first language and he even said his Thai wasn't that good while filming so he was concentrating more on pronouncing the words correctly than his acting. He also had to learn Japanese for the role so he had a lot going on with this series. His Thai has gotten way better so hopefully in his future roles he can really hone on his acting skills, but for the most part I think he did his best.

While I don't agree with a lot of your criticisms about this drama I do believe you provide a lot of insight and you have a deep analysis of why you feel the way you feel. I appreciate how much you put into this review and it helped me take in mind some aspect of the show I missed out on. I'll still have to disagree that this version was a hot mess. I have to say out of watching the Korean and Taiwanese version I truly found this version most to my liking. Maybe it's because I'm 18 and I felt more connected with the times, but all the other versions didn't resonate with me as much as this did. Also since you have such a deep review on this show I recommend you check out the NEW THAI BOYS OVER FlOWERS it just came out a few weeks ago on GMMTV. It's really good so far and I recommend you watching it and giving it your review
