Fox spirit matchmaker anime protagonists are the characters yang mi and gong jun act in. Actually the character gj acts is the main character in the anime.
However, they are other significant characters in the story and their love stories. These other two fox spirit dramas will focus on those characters as main characters with their dramas. gong jun;s character might be in this drama as a guest appearance/ support actor since the character is cousin to wang quan & he played a signficant role in wang quan story so i think he will be in it but he wont be main.
Also i think they are filming only the past lives of the characters not the modern one which is why gj & ym characters won't be needed to be in the drama much unless they interacted in the past life.
(These are my guesses coz im not 100% sure how they filmed/will film this)

its okay to not like a drama but its obvious u were not going to like LBFAD regardless since ur sole reason for watching it was to compare with TTEOM. no one is forcing u to watch

They even filmed promotional materials, sponsored magazine shoot and had interview with the screen witer which gave impression that it was coming soon but still there's no noise. That's why I'm praying may or end of april
