MDL just accepts even if u give them links to pure baseless rumours or melons as proof. Seeing a cast on MDL doesn't mean the rumour is true. Its only harder to remove the cast once put there unless they officially announce real cast.
They did not cast YM & GJ in two projects. If u want real true casting rumours then follow @cdramacastingrumours on twitter. That is the only acct which posts rumours which later become real. If u don't see that acct posting the rumour then don't believe it.
Someone just saw a baseless melon on twitter & used it as evidence to MDL that GJ & YM were in Siming.

This drama has not been casted yet. These were just rumours of Yang Mi and Gong Jun from long ago last year. They're filming another xianxia (Fox spirit Matchmaker: Yuehong) right now so i doubt that they will film another drama together soon. That drama is by stellar pictures too. I tried to remove gj from this page but MDL refused lol.
No one knows if Siming casting has LYT or not. In my opinion i think they will retain her no doubt since she even got good feedback on her role. I can also guarantee that YM & GJ wont be in it.

The reason LBFAD was popular was coz of storyline , characters & the cinematography. I never said success of a drama is guaranteed by popularity of actors. Even the lack of popularity doesn't guaranttee success too. Actors just have to be lucky & get the right script. LBFAD wd have been well received no matter who acted in it coz of the above reasons.

I was just talking about why dramas with big budget choose popular actors. That's a very huge risk to bet all ur money on very unknown actors when u are not sure if the drama will be well received. With popular actors, it will have support no matter what coz of the fan bases. I also don't consider Esther and Dylan as unknown actors. Its just they weren't very popular. I can see why they were casted.

Even if LBFAD had good casting, good direction and effects but the storyline sucked then it wouldn't hit. And btw anyone is good casting as long as the story is good.

The book is a short story but it was merged with a another short story of second couple in the drama. I read the book for the main couple and i liked it. i've re read it 3 times now lol.

The story happened before the yue hong chapter and wang quan chapter that's for sure. i'm reading the manhua and Dong Fang Yuechu goes to rescue Wang Quan Fugui of Wang Quan Chapter and reminded the father of Wang Fugui about a woman named Dong Fang Huaizhu and the father panicked. (Omg i forgot, she is mother of Wang Fugui not DFyuechu. )

She is Yuechu's Aunt . His mother is her sister.

DF Yuechu and Wang Fugui are almost same age

it was rumoured for yz and zhang yixing first, then it was liyitong and gj, but then i heard it was post poned
who knows which year it will film or if rumours for the actors for it are true coz they postponed it since it was supposed to be filmed in summer of 2022. it will be sometime before we hear from it again.

i just realised that the character of Lui shi shi, Dong Fang Huaizhu is the mother of Wang Quan Fugui in Wang Quan chapter or atleast she had a relationship with his father. And she is related to Dong Fang Yuechu of Yuehong chapter

I think you should look at this matter realistically.

The reason why high buget productions like to use big traffic actors is coz of the fandoms. If the drama fails then they can still get money from actors's fans support.
If they were to cast lesser known and the drama fails then its a bigger loss coz casting lesser known actors is not a guaranttee for success too. Even having good visuals and feautures in production is not a guarantee for success. The main guarantee for success is the script. Others are just minor factors.

Now imagine if LBFAD had cast actors with very big fanbases and with those visual effects too? The explosion would have been trippled.
From a business stand point, betting on a popular actor is more secure and rewarding.

Like Immortal Samsara had bad reviews but it generated more money for youku than LBFAD did for IQUIYI solely based on the cast. Thats all companies care abt in most cases especially if they invest a lot of money coz they need profits too.

Not saying this will happen for this drama though coz i think Li yitong fits and she is a already a reputable actress herself. If they were to change then it might be ML & i dont think its gj. He is already in Fox spirit matchmmaker so its highly unlikely.
