Wow, it was really hard choosing between them. Great choices ❤ I also would've added Yeo Jin Goo (from moon embracing the sun & hotel del luna) and Choi Woo Shik (so many things including parasite) and maybe Kang Haneul & Woo Do Hwan? Those are among my favorites and I think they played in equally iconic things 🤷♀️ but that's just my opinion
It's complicated. Iljimae achieves what he set out for but dies in the process.
He actually survives to do the things from the 1st episode, but the ending is sort of open, it doesn't explain how he survived or what happens with anybody... (I just finished it and now I'm sad it's over, I liked it and it feels like it could've been longer with that ending 🥲)

I think it's quite relatable that you surprise something and at some point, after some dumb trigger (the lyrics of that song) something just.. snaps, but I get what you mean too, there could've been more signs of the sadness or of surprising them

Yeah, I don't like to put the blame on someone if i don't really know were it went wrong but the ending was disappointing, in the middle it already lost a bit of it's focus but that wouldn't have been a big deal if the ending was satisfying. I just had so many things that I expected for the ending and they didn't happen, that was very disappointing. I really wanted more scenes in the other world (partially because the people were so attractive as gods haha) but it felt a bit like they didn't finish what they started, it was like a buildup to something they didn't do, they didn't complete the circle by just the short the short visit back to the god world which literally had no impact on the story. And with the dad it was was just so dramatic and out of the blue and they didn't ad any new significance or insight to it? They just left it at feelings of guild and regret? ... after a year I still remember haha, I really think it would've been one of my favorites if the ending was more satisfying

I think so, it was pretty unclear but they said she fell for someone in the human world (i don't know what the problem was with that) and Bi Ryeom (Gong Myung) said that he was the one who took her back to the god world and the girl never said that she didn't do it so i guess she was guilty. But i wished they would've explained her crime a little better because i don't get it either..
I just finished this and i want to talk about the ending. First of all, i really liked liked this series a lot, i finished it pretty fast because i really liked the emotions. But the ending disappointed me to be honest. Normally I don't really question movie logic but I fail to see why FL needed that devine blessing from ML, they said the only problem was that she wouldn't be able to reach the bottom of the river, that seems like such an easy problem to fix: magical air bubble (the other gods should be more than capable to do that) or if you want a practical solution: dive helmet... (Btw. I thought the whole thing about her father came a bit out of nowhere, which would've been fine by me if they closed it a little more by having a recap with all the memories of her father with some additional scenes that make us understand more about him.) And more: I would've really wanted to see ML return to his world (with FL) and have the coronation. I was also looking forward to ML lead having his powers in the human world so we could get impressed by all the things he can do when he is his 'normal' self. I basically waited for those scenes the entire show.
I would've also personally wanted that ML & FL could travel between the worlds freely so FL could see the god world and ML could be king & bf at the same time. Though i get that i was probably written like that in the webtoon but I felt a bit sad, because it seemed like ML was not ALLOWED to go back until FL died of old age..
I felt a bit sad after finishing the last episodes because I had loved the show so much up until the 14th ep. but the ending kinda ruined it for me. It felt a bit rushed compared to the other episodes maybe? Or like the story took an unexpected turn and the writers weren't sure what to do with it either? I was wondering if other people felt the same way?
