i love joongdunk but no amount of kissing or chemistry could have saved the horrible directing or production. the sound was constantly off, the plot was a joke and the pacing was ridiculous. i still can’t get over the silly ass music played during puth’s dumb ass speech or puifai being able to hurt two grown men at random.. i hope joongdunk have a better project next.

what a masterpiece. gelboys is genuinely a top tier piece of queer media. everything from the cinematography to the aesthetics were so immaculately executed i’m simply gagged. i’m honestly upset at myself for putting it off as long as i did bc it’s one of the best dramas i’ve watched PERIOD. even with an unoriginal plot gelboys screamed authenticity through and through and the characters are so complex that they challenge you and that’s what makes this drama so much better than others. 100/10 recommend and i look forward to season 2 and other projects from the directors and actors.

i know a part of it is the amount of episodes allotted but i feel like it’s moving at a pace that may ruin the storyline if it doesn’t slow down

i love forpeat so i’m going to support this but the directors are horrible. the constant music is also driving me insane. i’m not familiar with the source material but it’s giving soap opera 😭

i fear a lot of you lack whimsy in your lives. this drama is so cute and fun! if you don’t like stuff like this don’t watch it but rating it harshly and saying it’s bad bc they arent brooding college kids is weird. especially bc we’re only two episodes in like pls chill out

yeah i’m not really sure how they failed to stay consistent when from what i’ve been told the source material was good. i understand condensing a story can be hard but this could’ve been a shorter drama with how horribly they dropped the ball at the end. overall the cast did great with what they had but i’m really hoping their new drama is better.

i think it’s easy to compare the two because they both fall under the horror genre which we don’t get enough of in bl’s but they’re definitely different so in the end it’s best not to compare. but i agree, gbyfd definitely started strong but the writers dropped the ball in the end. and honestly i feel that, khemjira was an experience and it’s one you’ll never forget.

you sound like you just want to pick a fight and you won’t get that over here. as i stated i loved the cast but the writing fell short and that’s my opinion to have. khemjira was well written in my opinion and that’s the only one that matters. i never pinned them against each other either, just said i was hoping this would fill the horror void after i finish khemjira. go be miserable elsewhere.

i love the cast which is why i rated this higher than i normally would have but unfortunately this drama fell insanely short. in the beginning i genuinely felt like this would be an amazing series and was excited thinking it would fill the horror bl void after khemjira but was left disappointed. as i said before its no fault of the cast but the story wasn’t adapted well and the relationship between thup and singha felt very boring and it wasn’t even related to the lack of nc scenes. it genuinely just felt like a cute little side story that lacked passion. overall i enjoyed it and i loved the cast, especially otto (his acting was impeccable) but it just left me wanting more. looking forward to ppv’s next project and hoping for better writers because they deserve that.

and the horribly written kdrama ending curse continues..

this drama just reminded me why i stopped watching kdramas for so long, the writers never follow through and it’s sad bc this started off so strong, the acting was amazing and the storyline was interesting but this drama would’ve benefited from being 10eps max bc everything was just too drawn out. also the second leads deserved better because the love triangle/square was delusion based, underutilized and unnecessary.

same! one thing i will never do is discredit how amazing the cast was. they deserve all the love and hype because they’re what made the drama what it was

that’s exactly what i said in my actual review. the writers didn’t have the balls so everything they did after ingang was a cop out. i almost dropped the show after his final episode because i knew they wouldn’t follow through with everything else

she did change from who she was originally. her character was meant to be cold, calculated and manipulative but she ended up being emotional and manipulated herself in the end.

sad the writers and producer messed this ending up. it’s rare we get to see female characters like ah jin. they should’ve kept her sociopathic tendencies to the very end even if they wanted to follow through with this ending and not the webtoon one. also i was fine with junseo’s ending but definitely not jaeoh’s. it was worth the watch up until
these last two episodes.

also for the “ill fitting” clothing everyone keeps commenting on, where exactly do you see these outfits? if his clothes aren’t perfectly tailored he’s just wearing an oversized jacket which is currently in fashion. it may not be your style, but saying dylan looks like he’s playing dress up or like a child trying to be an adult is rude. maybe ask yourself if you’re just a hater/shipper..
