I loved Ancient Love Poetry, Blood of Youth, Love better than immortality. I also tried to watch Eternal love of Dream, Ten miles of peach Blossom and Ashes of Love, but couldn't go past a few episodes.

I found too many similarities between L&R and Immortal samsara, still enjoyed it.

I think this is something that only happens in Asia. Even in Asia, not every where though. I haven't heard these kind of malicious activity in Japan. Even in India(am from India), fans don't act like this. Chinese and Korean fans are so scary.

Yes. Liked it too. Don't now why it got less Popularity? Story and Yang Zi , Cheng Yi pairing was good too but it wasnot that popular(I think).I watched stand By me too. But I didn't liked the female lead's acting much. Her character was plain. Not much depth in her character. I also tried to watch Dream of Changan but couldn't complete it since story didn't attract me. Although female lead looks beautiful, but she looked much older than Chengi Yi's character. And too much of sufferings and betrayals.

Good. Cheng Yi's acting is so good. I don't even remember how many times I have re-watched L&R since no shows couldnt match up to that kind of acting. Finally I have something else to watch these days. For someone who struggled and persisted in showbiz for almost a decade without much breakthrough, he really deserves all the praise he is getting now. All those cyberbullying after L&R, I thought people would forever hate him. I still don't know what was his fault in all that controversy? For an introvert, stage fright can be scary. So he mightnot have been able to face it at that point. But he was bullied left and right. So I feared we might not be able to see his acting in future. But am happy that he could move on and prove his exemplary acting skills.

May be slightly autistic who can thrive well in what they enjoy but socially awkward when it comes to task what's others found easier to do. Like Woo Young woo character, for her, revolving doors at Hanbada is the most complex thing that she came across in her life and law related complex jargon are quite easy for her.

Because at times, International ratings doesn't matter at all when it comes to china. They can sustain even without international fans since country is so wide and huge population. Also show aired along with Lost you forever which had got popular star like Yang Zi.

And about how bad he is at games and shows, I remember reading an interview that he doesn't like to do it as much as other stars because he know that he is not good at it and he don't want to hold others up. He is quite good at acting because he enjoys doing it. I think he has one track mind when it comes to acting and he only compare himself with his past. Always trying to improve himself. I think this might be the reason for spacing out during shows in which he is not that comfortable.

I dont have much idea about douban ratings and what it means. And I can't even access many of Chinese websites as am from India. Indian Govt has banned many of Chinese websites citing security reasons. So, Could you please explain how it works? Is this 8.1 a good score in comparison with other popular shows?

Is this show hit in China? Iam asking because MDL ratings doesn't matter at all wrt to China home ratings. And Lost you forever got released around the same time and that show has surpassed some records too. So just wanted to know how Chinese people are rating this fantastic drama?

Empress Ki. Though I don't know who is the main ML there. Both have kind of equal screen time and FL is the main character in the whole story as it's based on her life.
