Please don't be sarcastic. I'm not a fan of Zhao Lusi nor Dilreba. Both of them are equally beautiful. In LLG, I didn't like her character at all. She came across as more or less selfish for me even though she had a bad childhood. I am m aware about the childish fanwars going on in China and here in mdl. Am not a part of them. But that doesn't mean that I can genuinely appreciate characters.
And Why I compared YY and Zhao Lusi's character is because both had same upbringing. In a royal family, they lived a naive life aware of what going on around them. Then they are both forced to realise the real life issues and that trajectory changed their perspective. Don't you think that's worth mentioning??

True. Her character growth is wonderfully portrayed. Reminds me of Zhao Lusi's character from Long Ballad. I think even Li Changa failed to raise up to her in that case.

LTG and his love!! When will he realise that It's just pure obsession not love. Remember what he said, "I don't care if she(Ruyi) is happy or not, just give her to me". That's a huge red flag. His tantrums are getting on my nerves. When will LTG type men realise that loving a woman means respecting her choice not to force your views/love/decisions on her.

Then why the hell would she say to have a kid considering how her kid turned out to be colliding with her father and husband to kill her. Mother-son/daughter relationship is one of the purest form of love the world has seen. So why would she want Ruyi to have a child when her own kid turned out to be a power hungry jerk??

So YL dies, who all will survive according to rumours/novel? I badly want Whole Liduao hall including Ruyi and YY to survive this war. Let YY be the Regent princess till the child in Empress womb to be an adult. In case of An, both Emperor, first prince and 2nd one are lost case. Heard there is a third one but not old enough to rule. Hopefully he can be a good ruler.

I think no one here tried to contradict on your views about LYN. Yes, he lacks experience and charisma onscreen. But you put ZLJ as some kind of benchmark. He truly don't deserve it since there are many better actors in cdrama industry. Second lead in "A journey to you" Ryan Cheng is not even a seasoned actor by any means. He didn't even had a good role previous to AJTY. Compared to ZLJ has got many ML role to prove himself. Even in that case, he overpowered ZLJ in 'A journey to you'. I am saying this because I used to skip main leads story to watch them. Ryan Cheng had such a mysterious presence on screen. I think last time I skipped main pair scene to watch second leads story was in 'Miss the Dragon' starring Dylan Wang and Deng Wei.

His sneer and scowls are a bit too dramatic in SOKP.

True. I was just about to say that. If I want to compare with someone, I would say Chengyi's subtle but charismatic acting in Mysterious Lotus casebook. Although there were 3 ML's but he stood apart from other two in various ways.
FL here is alluring cannot be compared with post 90 actresses. If I want to choose a strong FL from a recent drama then I would say, Yang Zi is 'Lost you forever' did a good job overpowering all her MLs. But her character don't have fighting scenes like Ruyi. Her skill is in poison.

NYZ is definitely one of my favourite. Second favourite ML after Yu Si Feng from L&R.

I thought Tonguang and Chu Yue would be the secondary pairing since their bickering and all. Then she started insulting him by bringing his parents and all. I just don't want want any love triangle for ML and FL. Any idea about second prince who grown up with Ru yi. You know the express son(Ru Yi's benefactor ).??

Yuan Lu also talked about how he want to die as a hero. I really like his character. Hope he won't die.

How is she being toxic? I just don't like the way XW treats women. It's just toxic masculinity. Forcing himself on her, forceful kiss. Yes, I do know that many fans ship them. It's just that they are ignorant of reality. For eg. Few years back, there is this movie released in India(am from India) "Kabir Singh". It was one of highest money making movie of that year. But it was also highly criticised for ML's behaviour towards FL. So it's natural for people to like XW type characters because most of those women equates possessiveness to love.

I think there is no point in discussing these stuffs. Because you are hell bent on having JXN and XW as a pair.. Iam not a fan of ZLJ or Wang Xue Zhe. But I like Bailu as an actress. So I started watching because of that. But there are somethings which I can't accept in dramas too. XW toxic masculinity is one such thing. Yes, this is her redemption arc and she tried her best to redeem herself but that doesn't mean that she has to tolerate toxic people. If I were in JXN's shoes, I would stay away from all ML's. It's better to be single and enjoy life peacefully. JXN really don't need anyone to support her. Because it's her story written by herself.

You know, in most dramas the toxic things male leads does to others is justified because of his bad childhood or trauma in the past. In that case even JXN had a bad childhood, she got exchanged and lived with an unloving mother in a poverty stricken country side. Even after returning home her mom favours her sister over her. Instead of making up with her, her mom dotes on her sister openly and criticise JXN even for things she hasn't done. I don't know how a mother can be so cruel. Maids are so cruel to her they even coveted her items. XW has a loyal group of friends like those two guards willing to lay down their life for him, his other friend Lyu. JXN never had anyone except Yan Lin. She was a lonely child. In short she had her own childhood trauma. So does she use it as an excuse to be barbaric towards others??
