I think the 'romance tag' is about Eun mi behaving like a teenager and Jin Hong as the lost puppy who follows around her all the time.

Between if they got hearing aid, why are they checking serial number and all? Hearing aids would have Earwax on them. Earwax would have DNA and they could identify the culprit using that..right?

True. My father worked in police department. And being in an essential service, they have weird duty hours. I have seen my father getting ready at 3 in the morning for work(normal working hours in morning 10 to evening 5). No. That's just a dream segment. Actually ML put that ring on her finger. In a flashback scene both ML's are discussing about their Seol. Do Jin knows Jin Hogae likes her and he admits it. So he says let's have a fair competition and inform Jin Hogae that he is going to propose to her. Jin Hogae saw that ring on Do Jin's body. So he took it from him and put it on Seol's finger when she was in hospital. That's how ring came to her hand.
