Yes but we already saw what only fandom power can do - we see it all over the world. That don't have this problem. But Thailand = company + fandom = Trouble
there is millions of BL fans - making them all behave when company push certain narrative is impossible because there will be always some young one who not know better or delusional ones.

I understand what you want to say - but its part of fan to fan promotion there was thousand of edit / artwork/ fan fictions etc. of Bella/Edward, Katniss/Peetas, Harry Potter/Ginny etc. but after work ended actors shook hand and went their own ways. Fans also did the same thing because they understand it too. The problem with Thai ships/ fanservice is that actors can't go their own ways and are often stuck together by their companies who try to milk even their lukewarm popularity and commercialize what was previously some fan to fan promotion. Even for drama casting - they usually cast actors without a ship or with an existing ship.

You know that current form of fan service was made by companies and not by fans? It's company that ship actors and not on screen characters - because is cheap and effective way to promote actors. Most of BL fans probably didn't know that shipping was before watching Thai BL ( I for sure didn't). There was a big discussion around it when Lovely writer aired - but there is nothing anyone can do around this topic till someone call -out companies that push this narrative. Because as new Bl air - it gather new fans who directly land in companies ship promotion campaign - making them think that this narrative is normal. That why companies don't want to break up ships that gained even lukewarm popularity. Making for many of them swim or sink together situation. Another thing is that actors/ singers etc. make money of fan service - lets not pretend it don't happen.
