I’m on ep 26 and I’m actually happy for the breakup troupe because the main leads kissing scenes were horrific.…
the break up was needed for Shu Yi to grow up and for their relationship to restart from a pure beginning

Can someone explain to me what happened in episode 35 when FL mom came to their house and ML pick her up in the…
I had some questions about this scene too. It seems Shi Yan brought the mom over, contrary to what they told Shu Yi that they met at the airport by accident. Note how they lied. Might that be the mom's idea?

Actually, this scene gave a clue as to where Shu Yin might have gotten her tendency to lie from. Shu Yi mentioned that when she was in junior high, her mom went to Singapore without telling her, saying she was going to Niupengpore. This seems to have a marked effect on Shu Yi seeing as how she still remembers it with resentment. If it did trigger her tendency to lie, getting this out in the open could help her overcome whatever bad habit she picked up because of it. Her tendency to lie is a big roadblock in her and Shi Yan's relationship so it's important that she gets rid of it.

Title Only for Love Spoiler
'Seems like there's a lot of misunderstanding of what caused the rift between the leads in ep 26...
It's not because Shi Yan was mad at being used for revenge. He already accepted one of her reasons for pursuing him which was to use him for her online magazine.

What devastated Shi Yan was the thought Shu Yi was still in love with her ex. His musing, "what you wanted was never me" expresses his heartbreak. He let her go to give her time and space to sort her feelings out. Of course part of the reason was that he was heartbroken too. He could accept any reason for her pursuing him. He could accept being used. What devastated him was that she might still be in love with her ex-boyfriend.

Don’t hate me for this pls 😭 but I kinda skipped 90% of the leads parts after they got together for yuyou…
Please watch at least end of ep25 and start of ep 26. The way Shu Yi finds out about her misunderstanding of the uncle/niece situation is riveting. Shi Yan was there too, but Shu Yi refused to explain to him what happened, so he tried to dig up the truth from his driver (Le Zhi's real uncle) and Shi Yue. From his investigation, he inferred that Shu Yi pursued him because she thought he was Le Zhi's uncle, that is, Shu Yi pursued him because of the ex-boyfriend. Shi Yue also told him that Shu Yi told her she (Shu Yi) was not sincere about the "uncle", meaning him (at the time, Shi Yue did not know Shi Yan was the uncle). But Shu Yi was lying at the time she told Shi Yue. So her lie bit her back.

What hurt Shi Yan was not that Shu Yi used him to take revenge on her ex-boyfriend, but the thought that Shu Yi still loves her boyfriend to make her do such a thing. His musing, "what you wanted was never me" was heartbreaking. All he wanted was to love her. but he can't make her love him if she still loves her ex-boyfriend. He let her go to give her time and space to sort her feelings out. Of course part of the reason was that he was devastated too. He could accept any reason for her pursuing him. He could accept being used. He already accepted being used for the online magazine. What devastated him was that she might still be in love with her ex-boyfriend.

Just want to share the difference between MongoTV reported 3 Billion+ views and Yunhe Views. Why are the number…
ahh, it's like Netflix. but I think Netflix reduced the time to count as view to 2 minutes. I wonder if the wedding scene was supposed to be counted. It's just 10 minutes, so if it's supposed to be counted, there would be a big discrepancy since none of the views would have been counted. How about the scheduling? Some of the episodes were shown outside the normal schedule. For example eps 19 and 20 were shown at 13:14 instead of 07:00 pm. Would Yunhe have known to capture OFL data at 13:14 that day?

What's the names of the dramas?
I had expected that too. But I think after Bai Lu and Zhang Linghe's rumored real-life romance, her fans have zeroed in on them, the main reason her fans jumped ship from OFL to SOKP. I'm actually surprised her team-up with Dylan took off. 'Wonder if it's because Dylan and Linghe are friends and Bai Lu and Yu Shuxin are, too.

Hahaha funny... Just because the rating isn't align with your expectations mean that the sites rating is manipulated...
it's not justifiable when there are worse dramas that have higher ratings. if the drama wasn't blackened, the viewers would have been able to find out that it's not just romance. It's a character study of complex individuals as most people are. It's about inidividuals who, for all their character flaws, are passionate about giving something back to society. It points out problems in relationships that almost every couple faces - dishonesty and lack of communication. Chinese viewers actually like slice-of-life dramas. But because of the smear campaign, instead of trying to understand the story, viewrers paid more attention to bad camera angles, filters and flaws common in cdramas that were blown out of proportion

exactly! Shu Yi is such a complex character, but realistic, coz, really, all of us are combinations of good and bad. there is no one who is all good.

i think Viki audiences are more mature so, not only did they understand Shu Yi better, they probably have more tolerance with the misunderstanding and quirky characters, not to mention the irregular schedule of episodes. And Viki audiences are probably more familiar with character-driven stories like OFL

i think the more harmful thing that happened was that there were not enough fans that defended Shu Yi coz Dylan's fans were already busy defending Shi Yan and the drama itself from haters. In the end, Shu Yi became a weak link instead of a character worthy of praise.

that is one of the injustices iQiyi wrought when it dropped SOKP while OFL was airing. That move stunted Shu Yi's potential to be iconic. Had more people tried to understand her while the drama was airing, she could have been as acclaimed as Scarlett
