If there's one thing this drama successfully conveys, it is the importance of communication in a relationship.
Shanshan is proud, insecure and extremely possessive. She loves Guan Ji but knows him to be a playboy and she's scared of getting hurt. Moreover, she always sees him with other women which validates her fears of his playboy reputation. But she is too proud to talk to him. Guan Ji is clueless about what makes Shanshan mad whenever she sees him with other women, but either too proud or cowardly to talk to her.
If only these two can swallow their pride and talk!
just what i need rn. something light but not too fluffy (i actually like the business talks). something funny but not slapstick. something romantic, sweet not vulgar.
Shiyan’s car was at the hospital where Shuyi saw her ex w/ mistress. Shiyan was at home. So some of us think…
thanks! i guess i let my imagination run wild when i saw the same surname and wondered if the situation is more complicated. like Le Zhi being an illegitimate daughter of the "brother-in-law" but calls him uncle. i've been intrigued why the 'brother-in-law has not made an appearance

is Qin Le Zhi really her name or is she also lying about her surname or is it just a coincidence that her surname is the same as Shi Yue's? If her name is also a lie, why didn't she just name herself Shi Le Zhi? I'm just wondering if there is any significance of her surname being the same as Shi Yue's
How wonderful you explained everything! You should post a review in order to make justice to this drama. I saw…
thank you 😉 I feel that somebody who is really watching the drama would get drawn to the story and characters, thus not feel bored. I have watched cdramas that are draggy, and this is not one of them. So those who are complaining of being bored are either not watching properly or not watching at all, probably just copied some reviews they read elsewhere.

I thought Fan Lei was the uncle too. I'm having second thoughts though coz Xing Zhou didn't acknowledge Fan Lei when he and Shu Yi last met and Fan Lei picked Shu Yi up. Fan Lei also acted subservient to Shu Yi, yet Xing Zhou didn't have any reaction.
I think the driver of Shi Yan is the uncle of Qin Le Zi. She is lying to the guy that her uncle is Shi Yan
yup, Fan Lei the driver is her real uncle but she told Xing Zhou Shi Yan is. I was wondering if there is a more complicated storyline since there are still 13 episodes to go :)
I'm fascinated with everything about this drama. I look forward to new episodes everyday.
Shu Yi is such an unpredictable character, not the conventional sensible-can-do-no-wrong cdrama FL. I can understand why Bailu bravely accepted this role. Shu Yi would be a challenge to portray because not doing her right could make her obnoxious. I'm amused at her flaws, scrapes and outrageousness, so I guess Bai Lu is doing it right. Those who think smart people never do stupid things have unrealistic expectations of people. Having said this, I do hope Shu Yi matures, at least learn that slouching at the dinner table, especially at a banquet, is rude and that honesty is the best policy, i.e. stop lying!
Shi Yan is another complex character. Every episode unlocks another layer of his personality. His jealousy, vulnerability like when he got drunk after Bruce's betrayal, his thoughtfulness and dependability like when he asks Chen to drive Shu Yi home or orders her food and his gentle and caring nature when she got sick, draws me more and more to him.
Shanshan and Guan Ji's relationship problem due to lack of communication is realistic. How many relationships end simply because couples don't talk to each other? I'm looking forward to finding out how they resolve this.
Shi Yue's pursuit of Yu Yuo is stalkerish but I'm interested in finding out whether Shi Yue is going to persevere. Yu Yuo seems to have gotten interested in her relationship with Guan Ji. Was he jealous? Score 1 for Shi Yue!
To add to these, there are the projects that Shi Yan's company is embarking regarding chip production in China. I'm excited he seems to have found a replacement for Bruce.
And there are a lot of mysteries to unravel like Shi Yan's foreknowledge about Shu Yi (did he start crushing on her 3 years ago), the mistress' identity, Yu You talking to his mom about his past marriage (or did I hear incorrectly), Yi Yang's pursuit of Shu Yi (did he indeed just get interested with her after reading her article or does he have some other ulterior motive).
With all these happening, there is never a dull moment.
Hang on, the niece, Qin Shi Yue, and the mistress, Qin Le Zhi, have the same surname. I thought at first that the mistress has no relation to Shi Yan at all. But, might the mistress' uncle be Shi Yue's dad?
as of ep 22, the misunderstanding about the mistress and the uncle has not been sorted out yet. However, I think…
there are many things to occupy the viewer, foremost of which is the developing romance between the leads, so I'm quite content just following the story where it wants to go 🙂
If you have read the comments on there you would have seen for yourself the comments are quite harsh. There are…
t thought holding the glasses was a mannerism of Shi Yan? I've seen people do that. Why would his attitude in variety shows affect the rating? I agree about the antis working harder than the fans. Why were they against him taking the role? I heard he took it in gratitude to the director or somebody else in the production team?
