I honestly think Nanon will be great as 4th prince though. His acting is really great with minute expressions.
Yes, I think Nanon and Win's characters are most ambiguous and interchangeable but since the 4th prince is the lead and Win is the first to be billed, I think he may be the 4th prince.

Nanon is an incredible actor so he'll fit any role but the 8th prince is initially very warm but will grow devious(?) so I think that complexity is something Nanon can deliver efficiently while the 4th is more stoic and mysterious which I can totally see Win nailing as well.
On Scarlet Heart Thailand Jul 18, 2024
I don't know if it's just because I've seen most of these cast when they were still young (Ohm in Make It Right, Nanon in My Dear Loser, Phuwin in My Tee, and Fourth in MSP), I just feel like a mom sending her sons off to college 🥹

Anyways, I only got to watch Scarlet Hearts: Ryeo (starring IU) and from the trailer, I guess this will be the counterparts:

Win - Lee Joongi (Wang So, 4th prince)
Nanon - Kang Haneul (Wang Wook, 8th prince)
-I seriously believe these two are interchangeable but seeing how Win was billed first before Nanon, I think he will be Wang So. Nevertheless they will place it in a Thai context (which I'm not very familiar with) so Nanon may still be the main lead.

Tay - Hong Jonghyun (Wang Yo, 3rd prince)
Fourth - Baekhyun (Wang Eun, 10th prince)
-These three, I'm sure 100% . No one among the cast fits Wang Eun's image more than Fourth and he will have incredibly difficult dramatic scenes too which Fourth can easily ace. Tay's billing is given major antagonist vibes so there's that.

Force - Yoon Sunwoo (Wang Won, 9th prince)
Phuwin - Nam Joohyuk (Baekah, 13th prince)
Perth - Ji Soo (Wang Jung, 14th prince)
-Now this is pretty tricky because I think Force and Perth can be Baekah too but among all the cast, Phuwin really fits the kind and gentle image of Baekah. Perth, even though he's not the youngest, fits the youngest prince's role though I guess Phuwin can also be Wang Jung.

Again, I only watched the Korean version, and I know they'll place it in the Thai history context but I don't think it'll deviate heavily from the gist of the story. Really excited for this specially since it'll be the first time I'm seeing Fourth in such a heavy series!

fuk Park You Na is the sfl plz don't be annoying i really like u as a actress and i don't want to dislike your…
Actually Spirit Fingers have two main love lines (and two sub love lines) so there's no messy/complicated relationships at all! Also I don't think anyone will ever be able to hate Nam Green since her and Sunho are probably the crowd favorites!

There's nothing wrong with straight dramas, but I wish they would've just stuck with the original story. There…
Bestie the original story literally has the soul of a 50 year old gangster fall in love with Jaehyun's character. If anything, I'm glad they didn't follow this aspect of the original story.
On High School Return of a Gangster Sep 10, 2023
It's really just ironic how these commenters are angry for the production to stick with the original source when they obviously don't even know the original material, specially since there are no official English translations for the novel.

Some others already commented below but the original premise is HIGHLY disturbing. If you all stopped whining and actually researched first, you would know that the 50+ y.o. will be living the life of a high schooler who k*lled himself AND develop a romantic relationship with the high-schooler's classmate. The age gap is one thing but what's worse is that a 50 y.o.'s consciousness will fall in love with a HIGH SCHOOL student.

High school students in Korea barely turn 18 during their senior year. Normally, they won't even be 18 by the time they shoot their graduation photos so the chances that Sekyung (the ML's supposed love interest) is already legal is very low and in the situation that they do make him already 18, it's still disturbing.

This novel is not just about BL but also touches on the very important topic of bullying and school violence since Yiheon (the high schooler whose body is occupied by the 50 y.o. Deukpal) is being bullied. This is what led to Deukpal (in Yiheon's body) to investigate and avenge Yiheon to those who led him to suicide. Sekyung, on the other hand, is Yiheon's friend who is going to notice that something is wrong with Yiheon and will help Deukpal in his investigation.

The premise without the BL theme still WORKS and can be executed flawlessly without an incredibly disturbing and predatory romantic plot. Touch some grass, if you really want a BL series there are lots of Korean, Thai, Filipino, Japanese, and/or Chinese series you can watch and some of those actually need support by watching them on YouTube. Channel your energy there instead.
