26. I'd reduce the Bo're arc since it was too long. I'd rather have more episodes spent on the immortal arc because that's the current timeline with CJM and LSS, while following the novel's BE+HE endings which were meaningful and emotionally rewarding.

Understandable. I was shocked at how long the older cdramas were. Even 40 seemed like a lot but now I can say they are really necessary esp.for xianxias coz of the world building and the multiple arcs.
Maybe we should make a kdrama+cdrama starter pack under different genres/subgenres 🤔😂

LOL! Since you mentioned the blood coughs, here is a fun fact: TTEOTM's LYX is the blood spitting king with 60 blood spits in 40 episodes beating out Cheng Yi's 56 blood spits in 59eps of LAR. 🤣🤣🤣

To be honest, a lot of my friends have never seen a cdrama so as much as I'd like to recommend TTEOTM to them, it being a xianxia might be rough for a first watch.
Several of them have seen kdramas and mentioned they loved Six Flying Dragons so I'd recommend the historical political masterpiece Nirvana in Fire(2015). It has an excellent cast, great wuxia scenes, topnotch cinematography, and still one of the most brilliant writing ever in TV drama history to date. Watching the characters' journey was gripping, touching, and drove me literally to the edge of my seat.
Last but not the least, Mei Changsu is the only one that rivaled Aragorn's decades long special place in my heart so that goes to show how much I loved his character. 🤣🤣🤣
