So I'm not going to say that everything made perfect sense but to me (and I didn't read the novel just going off…
You don't have to and I won't either. 😂 TH's original punishment for CP getting emotions was divine retribution (typical lightning punishment in xianxia) - enough to hurt but not to kill her. He kept giving chances to CP and TMS (even warning against self-destruction) so TH was not gonna wipe out those two children of chaos if he could avoid it. This is just my take. Let's agree to disagree. ✌️

TMS is not a person so human actions cannot be used as an example to give him motivation to rally against TH 10,000 years ago. He literally said he and CP shouldn't care about the ebb and flow of races/creatures. He is emotionless and even going through reincarnation still barely understands human emotions. This attachment to CP is justified coz of their origin story. However, CP and him won't be destroyed even if the corrupted realms are destroyed by TH since they are the order system of their universe. Think of it as TH doing an anti-virus sweep to get rid of the virus but the system still stays with order restored. This show was good at dropping hints/foreshadowing before. Mostly because they followed the novel until 3/4 of the drama so the logic held. They failed in this instance because they injected additional plots that don't serve those, wasted time on unnecessary scenes in the ZM×AZ arc, didn't set some newly developed characterizations properly, and patched on the convoluted sentimental storyline with no proper payoff in the end. The romance was sidelined and these higher ideals are supposed to be appreciated. I am guessing they just didn't want TMS to be the ultimate bad guy. 😂 I did say I wanted the trio to be in good terms in the end but this wasn't it.
Was ZM also resealed in the lava for the second time in the novel?😭😭
No, he wasn't! After XXC merged with DL ZM, he went to MXL - who accepted him wholeheartedly. Then she had a showdown with TMS coz he was the root cause of their suffering. He lost and went to sleep (can't die coz of ancient artifact status hehe).
The ending of the novel was a bit rushed but made more sense coz of the original set-up and characterizations.
Somebody pls tell me what happened to demon lord zhao ming😭
DL ZM had to go through 10,000 years in the lava twice because of these crazy writers. 😭😅 They didn't explain how XXC came to have the demonic power in Snow City in the last scene. Based on previously set logic, XXC would have had to go through the reincarnation cycle and die again to merge with and awaken DL ZM 2.0. Then DL ZM 2.0 would have to conceal his demonic power to go to Snow City to reunite with MXL. 🤣
I understand your rant. After already read the novel, this deviation can caused much question. But after I settled…
I am not a purist who expects adaptations to be exactly the same as the OG source. HOWEVER, the writers should still follow the original characterizations. They kept making TMS say all of these "fate is decided, we are ancient artifact so we shouldn't care about the rise and fall of races, following CP is to understand love, etc." in the beginning then suddenly TMS goes, "Aha I must go against TH and save them! For what? I don't know."😂 If they had set him up differently I would somewhat agree with his "plan". I see this as the desire to imbue higher ideals in a character. It is wonderful when done right. But frankly, this is supposed to be a love story - what is wrong in it being that? I wanted to see MXL accept DL ZM, them ruling wisely over the demon realm at peace with the others, having their kids, and still having that sexy push-and-pull fun. Oh well! I'll just remember the brilliance of the first 3/4 part and subtitute this ending in my mind. 😂🤡
This sounds so much better than what we got, they were doing so well idk what compelled them to give us this mess.…
Exactly! They did so well until ep.31 then the writers decided to go rouge by adding so many unnecessary scenes and this illogical TMS×TH plot. *still stewing over the many loopholes*
My guess is they want to go beyond a love story by attaching benevolence to TMS and collective races defying a supreme god plus destiny (and winning at that LOL)
Haha I am laughing in disbelief after watching the last four episodes. The writers deviating from the novel and introducing this benevolent TMS×order freak HT that wasn't in the book is the downfall of the last eps. So many subsequent loopholes created that I won't even bother pointing them out except the crux loophole. Why would TMS, a self-proclaimed detached artifact from the vicissitudes of life, care if HT decides to possess ZM to destroy all races for restoring order? He has no motivation to interfere. A statement he made in the latter ep confirms this because he said that he didn't care about humanity until he experienced a bit of it, but this only happened after he started scheming against HT already. They tried to make TM more noble than he is and HT stupid coz how could a supreme god not realize the trio's plan at the end. Also, poor DL ZM having to experience 10,000 years in the lava twice just to fill in the other obvious loopholes. They chose such a convoluted way to reach such a bland conclusion. The final battle in the novel between MXL with her chaos power and TMS makes more sense because the story started with them and they are equal in power to each other. It went full circle and doesn't deviate from the original characterizations. Also, MXL immediately accepted the merged DL ZM and XXC - acknowledging that he can have both darkness and light. That didn't stop him from being "divine" because he still follows his true dao.
Despite the story missteps in the last part, I still love this drama especially the cast. Props to ZBB, SZN and WD for embodying such range for all their characters. Their chemistry was superb. The supporting cast did really well with a lot of notable performances. I wish them all the best in their acting journey!
1. TTEOTM - Duh right? We are camping here. How can it not be 1st in the list? 🤪2. Lost You Forever - How can…
I remember now, he was the one BaiQian first fell in love with but another girl morphed to look like her and seduced the prince. This broke BQ's heart.
Imagine the mayhem on and off set if they are all together.
So that TTJ and LSS can see their son DFQC 🤣🤣🤣
24. If there was a crossover between Till the End of the Moon and another series, which one would be the most exciting or fun?
