one of the worst scenes in the drama that I remember is when the police are blocking zombies on the road using shields while right next to them is a large empty field/park. And even worse, the camera shot is taken from above which shows all the stupidity. What the.....

Actually this drama is quite good especially in deepening the sad scenes.

But what I hate about this drama is. The writer makes "a lot" of characters who do "stupid decision" just to "dramatize" a scene. to the point where it really doesn't make sense. And this is further increased when the writer wants to "kill" a character.

Some are really stupid. Until I have to pause the scene. What why did he/she do that? . isn't that very stupid?

Even though this film has a duration of more than 2 hours, the pace is very fast. There are many things that happen. It feels like a recap of a drama. Many scenes actually need context and depth.

But unlike an autonomous province, a tribunal state is still considered "a full state". The king still fully manages his own country, its citizens and its own military. A state that becomes an overlord state will also not station troops to its subordinate states or interfere in political affairs in its subordinate states (unlike colonial states).

So the Qing troops in the drama did indeed return to their country but Korea's status remained as a Tributary country whoever succeeded the kingdom.

This practice even continued for 200 years afterward until Japan colonized Korea in 1895.

This is different from MDL, where the skew is never more than 1 point and I still understand better why this drama is skewed and I can adjust the score personally. In Douban? no. The drama score there is very stretched and I can't understand it.

I personally love this season than previous season. their're writing, directing, acting and cinematography are better than the previous season.

In the previous season, several parts were weak in script writing. Some actors also have bad acting in some part and sometimes even "out" of his initial characterization. In some scenes they even force it to be more comical and funny but because of poor writing, directing and editing it fails and looks awkward.

In this season, no, it's more denser and fuller. There is no akward and dull scenes. we get this quality on top tier Chinese films.


All of this most likely because this season only has 13 episodes.

In fact, I think the rating system on MDL is quite good and tight and is very good as a basis for starting to watch. But I personally make some adjustments to the drama because of one or two things.
1. Dramas with extreme fan actors I personally will deduct -5 points.
2. Dramas with extreme fan "themes/drama genres" will be deducted -5 points.
3. Dramas with unpopular themes I will add +5 points.
4. Dramas that are very controversial during the broadcast period will add +5 points.
5. Dramas with that "female audiences don't like the plot direction" I will add +3 points.
