I don't think CGI is bad; it's decent. We have only seen six episodes, so we can't judge this drama solely based on CGI/VFX. What matters most is the story, and so far, it is going solid. Additionally, this is not a Xianxia drama, so you can't expect fancy CGI. This falls under Xuanhuan genre, and I have watched some Wuxia and Xuanhuan dramas that follow a similar CGI style.
