Apparently this was supposed to air in 2023. It was done filming in late 2022.
By 2023, BLs like Sementic Error, Blueming, To My Star 2, Our Dating Sim, The Eighth Sense, Unintentional Lovestory etc were done airing or currently airing. Even comparing to that, this K-BL doesn't match with the vibe of that time. This series was being too conservative and careful.
They probably saw the profits from Semantic Error and wanted to dive on the BL market to capitalise it and launch their actors to stardom by doing the bare minimum and taking no risk. But, you gotta take risk, honey. Did they think Sementic Error did what they did in their time by not taking any risk?

what's realism would be chanyoung pressuring jiyu to have sex with him if this was realistic so where is the realism in that??? and in no away parents would allow a girl and a guy who are high school students to go on a trip alone far away like chanyoung and jiyu and be lovey-dovey on the bus.

Business Proposal, for example has 4 main roles but the second leads never got more importance than the main leads Ahn Hyoseop and Kim Sejeong. Their story was developing first and that was the main focus. Thats how you do it, This is called Heesu in class 2 and it is a BL and adapted from a BL and they are promoting it as BL. So, that should be the plot and the main focus.
If a teacher told you to do a project report on the environmental issues and you started talking about your kpop singer half of the time, you are gonna get an F.

this is not a mainstream BL though? It is only airing on heavenly(for korean people) much like every other KBL but it even has lower hype and korean viewers than other K-BLs so far.

This is presented as BL and Romance though both on Viki and Heavenly by the show itself. So, Romance IS the main plot here. People are going in expecting it as it is being presented and promoted as.

I still don't know how I feel about this.
I don't mind a straight couple if it was in the original work. But, they did added this on their own and removed a gay couple and on top they put the straight couple in the main roles.
Now, the thing that bothers me is how much they are gonna have to ignore the heesu-seungwon storyline to concentrate on the straight couple since they are also main leads. They could have just made chanyoung/jiyu maybe as a side couple so their story isn't as important.

So, what I am thinking is wait for more episodes to come out and see the reviews on how they are balancing the screentime and storyline. If they are doing it tastefully or not. This is first and foremost a gay story so that should remain the main priority for them throughout the show.

his whole shtick was that he is crazy and he has fought with Jaemin numerous times physically so it was definitely out of character for him
but I think they do needed to butcher his character a lot in order to make way for the "proper" main leads to shine
otherwise people would have ended up liking Suhyeon way more if they followed the manhwa more
