I'm going to skip all the YS scenes and just get to the reconciliation and the end. I don't have the patience to deal with his screen time.

I hope so. At least in episode 52, CSS makes it clear that she still has LBY in her heart. I think your prediction is right. I hope they don't do an actual engagement and it's just verbal, but we will see.

As a novel reader, I understand YS and can sympathize with him, but he doesn't have my empathy. Get over your pity party and move on man. CSS's heart belongs to someone and that someone is not you, no matter how much you wish or try to change yourself. Some call it love, I call it pathethic and an unhealthy obsession.

Okay to back up some of the details.

I used Empress to keep things simple. But, after LBY is exiled a lot of things happen. Empress Xuan is deposted and she has to live the rest of her life in the "Cold Palace." She becomes the Empress Dowager Xuan. Consort Yue is promoted to the Empress and becomes Empress Yue.

Everyone was pretty upset for a while with LBY over the turn of events, but eventually forgive him. The only person that is still stuck in the past and angry is CSS. There are another few contributing factors on why the Emperor was probably more hands off.

Third Prince was monitoring LBY to make sure that he was taken care of. Third Prince finds out that Luo Jitong has moved into LBY's manor. He mistakenly believes that LBY has moved on from CSS. LBY knew that he was being monitored, so he used LJT as a shield, so that Third Prince and the Emperor would not try to force him to get married. Third Prince is mistaken. That's why he doesn't get in the way of CSS when she decides to get married to Yuan Shen and only realizes that LBY has no plans of marrying LJT when he learns the truth after LBY's return. It's blatantly obvious LBY has no feelings for LJT and still loves CSS.

Empress Dowager Xuan's health is declining. She wants to see LBY and CSS get married, but she doesn't say it outright. CSS mistakenly believes married to anyone. CSS tries two other people, but they are like nope, you belong to LBY. CSS finally agrees to marry Yuan Shen to fulfill the Empress Dowager Xuan's final wish. (This is why I will always dislike Yuan Shen. He has a one-sided love and it rubs me wrong. He needs to move on, or else people will suffer. He also doesn't consider what CSS really wants. Just leave her alone dude, she wants to be with LBY.) The Empress Dowager Xuan is actually not happy. She is like, "are you sure? I didn't expect you to agree to quickly." CSS is fooling herself and wants to move on from LBY. So, Empress Dowager Xuan breaks the news that she asked the Emperor to ask LBY to return to the Capital, so that she can see him before she passes away. That's the truth, but the other part is she wants to see LBY and CSS get married. CSS is stunned, she thought the Empress Dowager was still mad at LBY. The Empress Dowager tells her that the past should remain in the past and she has forgiven LBY.

So, the clothes YS and CSS are wearing, that's the same clothes in the Music Video when LBY returns right? So LBY returns in episode 52 and the reconciliation begins. I originally guessed it would be 5 episodes...now with so little episodes remaining, it looks more like 2-3 episodes and the remaning for the final arc. Good, cause I still dislike YS.

Can confirm for the novel, there is no wedding. In the extra chapters, LBY and CSS are already married. It's a drama though, so they can do whatever they want.

I like your theory. This scene was not in the novel, however it would be a good tie in for the ending, where the reveal is obviously LBY in an updated version of the dream.

FYI. In the novel, after LBY is exiled, there is a time skip and everything that happened is told from the perspective of five years later. So, the way the drama will do it, is to probably actually show scenes of what happens in the five years, instead of just telling us, like in the novel. I'm not worried about a rushed ending, since the novel ending is kind of lackluster. That's why the author later wrote extra chapters about their HEA. However, going by the trailer, it looks like we will get the rather luckluster ending. So no marraige.

She gets engaged to him in the Fifth Year. Thinking that the Empress would be happy, CSS tells her, but later finds out the Empress requested LBY to return. (This girl...sigh...). LBY returns probably a month or so later. The engagement is broken up some time during that Fifth Year. LBY and CSS reconcile in the Sixth Year after the Empress passes away. A lot of stuff happens in between during the book. I'd say the engagement lasted a few months tops, before CSS asks to cancel it.

'A Dream of Splendor'. It was the previous series that aired before 'Love Like The Galaxy' on Tencent, which also fast tracked the last few episodes if you paid with extra.

For me it's LBY. He was in the lose lose situation. No matter what decision he makes he would lose something. But, his love never wavered. CSS was hurt, but she still needed to do some reflecting and grow. More so, than LBY.

If only we could watch party here. I mean I guess there will be a watch party in China,but I'm not tuning in for thst not understanding anything.

Keep in mind this is only avaliable on the app. You can't stream on your pc or even cast it. When you log into the app, it should give you the option to purchase the express episodes. At least, this was how it was with ADOS. I watched on my phone but many confirm it works with their iPad.

LOL. I'm not going to lie, I was one of those peeps that watched ADOS when it was on express and the first thing I did was posted spoilers. But, I tagged it. I know half people don't want the spoilers, but the other half are waiting for it. I know there will be a bunch of comments that won't be tagged. I'd avoid MGL if you really want to avoid the spoilers.

Thanks for replying. Yeah. I already pay for VIP, but I paid extra so I could see the episodes early when ADOS was airing. I'm going to do the same here. I just want to skip all the YS scenes. I'm a hater. I also want to see what ending they went with.

When I was watching ADOS you couldn't find even the raws of it. Either people were too lazy to try to defeat the DRM. Or they didn't think it was worth it. So legit people just had to either do the FastTrack or wait. I coughed up the money up front and just squinted my way through with my phone. The one time I regretted not getting an iPad.

CSS has the Empress and.. Yuan Shen pestering her to marry him. LBY had "CSS" (the wire on his wrist) and the bite mark and was getting reports on how CSS was doing.

Sorry I'm too lazy to research. Did they post the price for express? I'm binging this.
