technically (and only technically) this is not a Chinese BL , it's produced by Singaporean company. it's also not available (legally) in China. as for the actors looks like they're going to be fine, Zi Yu from Revenged Love, that was very popular in and outside of China, is now getting new roles in regular Chinese dramas.
BLs/GLs are still banned in China tho, they just found a loophole

as of first 4 episode there's no romance at all between student/tutor, and I really doubt there will be any. Toru have a crush on Kishi, but it's always shown in a comedic way. It wasn't even promoted as a real BL tbh

according to the official site, it's "BL-flavored comedy" 🤷‍♀️ It's mostly dumb comedy and Toru having crush on Kishi is also played for fun. But if you want to consider it a BL no one can stop you. 😉
