To me it's not at all loyalty but instead from insecurity and manipulation. Both know that Daon is in love with Jaemin, but one wants D and the other seems to have this weird I don't want you but I don't want anyone else to have you. This "agreement" fulfills both their wants in a weird way: Daon gets to be with neither of them (aka Soohyun doesn't have to see Jaemin immediately win over Daon and Jaemin doesn't have to stress over Soohyun possibly winning him over with time)

OMG Preach! I genuinely thought they threw away the potential for a really nice and sentimental and even inspiring narrative by having virtually no development for Yiheon and having his end be like that. It just felt like this journey was never for Yiheon then and only for Deukpal which feels so unfair because nothing bad that happened was ever Yiheon's fault and he genuinely deserved a life he could be happy with

I definitely agree with you that shipping deukpal and sekyung is definitely not what is meant to be taken from their interactions. Personally I see deukpal’s actions towards sekyung to be very platonic and sweet (quite fatherly), but I also think that sekyung’s actions towards yiheon (even tho it’s deukpal) is inherently romantic (which is my opinion regarding the drama version - I already know they canonically have feelings in the novel), which probably confuses people since they see two younger guys having a very sweet relationship with each other (still weird tho and people should really be more mindful). I do hope we get to see more of yiheon and sekyung’s actual relationship after he hopefully returns because this has been mostly for yiheon anyway :3

How r you going to call someone delusional for reading certain scenes as subtly romantic when this is LITERALLY a censored version of a BL novel. Even tho it will never get confirmed in the drama series, it's really not that farfetched to possibly read some scenes of Sekyung having undertones of romantic feelings for Yi Hen

Yes! It's super sweet and honestly quite refreshing! The visuals are also very nice (who doesn't love a countryside and beach aesthetic?) and as of currently I have been enjoying all of the episodes!

I completely agree with you! I actually love the soft and gentle ways Gongchan uses his eyes to convey his emotion. Especially the scene where he looks at Taejoon after he gently caresses his face with his thumb? His gaze struck me haha
