Yuck I am not liking the pairing of FL and Joong Gil for real, she's looking so old compared to him, age differences are huge turn off for me, I don't know why writers decided to add such things in drama when it was not in webtoon version 🙃

if you scroll a bit in this comment section you'll find which i'm talking about. rowoon fans, idk if i can technically call them his fans but when the drama was announced first as two of them as leads, alr seen majority talking about the age gap but they quiet down tho when it was announced as a fantasy & nonromance genre. im not blaming the fandom of these 2MLs, just those toxic ones you can find in almost any fandom. i have nothing against the 2MLs too, just that its annoying how people are complaining about them possibly pairing up with KHS-- like you know, there's this option called "stop watching the drama if you don't like it." 🤷🏻‍♀️

seeing these toxic fans bashing KHS tho, makes me hope she won't end up with any of the ML now. let it just stay a non-romance genre then, much better for all and less complaints from these toxic peeps. 🤷🏻‍♀️

i wanted to stay quiet but some fans of the 2MLs are too much. First, if you're uncomfortable of your idol being paired with an older FL, then stop watching. I've been seeing some toxic fans attacking KHS like it's her fault that the MLs accepted the roles. Whether she end up with any of them or not, I'm not complaining. It has been announced before that it's a non-romance genre and all are happy. But then when your idol doesn't get enough screentime bec of the limited scope of their roles, y'all complain. And now, 2nd ML is getting more screentime bec of his past with FL and some fans are still complaining. lol. Just don't watch the drama or blame your idols for accepting roles you don't like. 🙄 (p.s. i'm not generalizing all fans of these two, just those toxic ones that i've been seeing eversince the announcement of the release of the drama up to now.)

In the webtoon, ryeon 's past lover is supposedly just a side character(lee do heon was the name if im not mistaken-- there's no english translation on naver 🤧). there was also one chapter (ch.194) where she came across him in the present and saw him marrying another woman.
(there was no eng trans so i went to the comment sections on the manhwa just to check for the name of the character 🤣)

ofc it would be triggering, why else would they put warnings? that is why there are trigger warnings in the first place, lol. what do you mean its lowkey disgusting? just a reminder that this is a fantasy drama. the one saving people aren't medical professionals in life, they're grim reapers. you cannot expect a drama to fully dig deep in each cases since its episodic. (this is coming from someone who has been diagnosed with clinical depression in the past and have had suicidal thoughts. and no, this show is not at all disgusting for me.)

and also if its really like what you said about ryeon's words-- how could she even know what his father used to say to him? they only went back to that day in the past on his birthday and jun woong (the one who jae soo told about those words) did not tell ryeon anything too when she wrote that note. it will be even weirder if it really was just a coincidence. (there's no way ryeon could've picked up those words from his past since they don't have any other means to go back other than the car and they don't even have the memory key).

ryeon said them going back to the past might be predetermined. it means they were really supposed to go back that time (otherwise the emperor wouldn't have allowed them to go that fast since she clearly said it was banned a long time ago). think of it in this way: how could jae soo remember having chicken with his father on the same night he was supposed to die even before ryeon & jun woong went back to the past? it was all because they were set to stop him from dying in the first place. he might've still died in the future after that but i don't think its necessary to include everything that happened after since their only point was to save him by going back to that certain point in the past. ++ according to the emperor though, it was still a violation of the company's rules which was why ryeon was still punished.

it didn't came from me though. on ep 4, ryeon clearly said it might be predetermined. otherwise why would the emperor allow her to go back to the past that fast (she even said she banned it long ago since it has negative impacts on the present yet was so quick to tell her to get the key). i think if it wasn't pretermined, then the past 2 eps will be more confusing.

there are trigger warnings + rating on netflix alr warns abt the issues the show will tackle. this is why people should consider reading the warnings first before watching since it involves sensitive issues and can be triggering to some. FL will have character development too, we're still on ep 4 don't judge her too fast.

like other people, i thought on ep 3 that it was weird for ryeon & jun woong to intervene in the past but— according to ryeon on ep 4 it seems like it was predetermined alr.. basically, the reason why jun woong’s friend was able to have chicken with his father that night on his birthday was all because ryeon & jun woong intervened in the past (remember the words he said to jun woong before wasn’t his fathers but actually from ryeon’s writing on the note). so it means it was all planned to happened that way (which is also why the emperor was so quick to allow ryeon to go back to the past despite saying it was banned long ago). the only thing they’ve change that wasn’t part of the present timeline is prob the photograph of jun woong and his family. anyway, what i don’t get is it was predetermined— yet ryeon still has to be punished for it, smh 🙃

if they are planning to go with the webtoon’s back story, the red eyeshadow has a value because of her past— dw i’m not gonna spoil it (which is why it’s necessary for ryeon in the drama to have it too)
