I couldn't enjoy Park Bogum and Song Hyekyo together in Encounter because that came after DOTS and the SongSong wedding.

I am more worried about BWS coz Hyeyoon can definitely generate chemistry with a block of ice. Just look at how some people are shipping her with Lee Seunghyub.

The fact that it still follows that formula but was still refreshing coz the breaks were the ML completely forgetting they were even together 🙎🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ 😭. Writer nim is genius. BWS and KHY are immersed as SeonSol and are nailing the right reactions.

In Ep 1 I already fell in love with 'Sonaki' 8 minutes into the show with Sol in the hospital finally wanting to live because her being alive is a gift to her loved ones. Then 'Run run' and 'No fate' in the Eclipse concert.
The plot twist in Ep2 made me love I think I did.
In Ep 5 for 'Monologue' during Sol's monologue after Sunjae saved her, 'You and I' in the rainbow scene and 'I'll be there' in the Eclipse performance.
The confession and kiss scene in Ep 8 did it for me for 'A Day' and 'Like a Dream'.
Then the ending scene in the ferris wheel in Ep14 made scour the internet for 'Gift'.

And that's why this felt like a past life trope too but not really.

It's pulling off all the tropes. It even has the 3 out of 4 treasure tropes in kdramas, kidnapping, cancer and memory loss. At least they haven't touched the you're my brother/sister trope.

It's unfair to say that she only dated. In the first 2 travels she thought he died of suicide so her actions were geared to preventing the suicide by giving books, having him promise her to meet in the han river bridge, letting him want to live beyond Jan 1, 2023. And she was successful with that. She didn't know that the pyscho was targeting Sunjae. When she knew, all her actions were to prevent Sunjae from meeting the psycho

Well it's different strokes for different folks. I would even rate this 20/10 if I could. The plot is old and simple but they managed to make it seem fresh for me with all the easter eggs, parallelism, and of course the leads' acting.

Some were worried for younger Sol before but now it doesn't even matter if they DID IT in Ep 12 or not

I agree. That's why in Ep14 he was cold at first, thinking she's a thief then a person who caused him to be humiliated. He became interested only after reading her script.

Did they release 'Gift' only after Ep14? After the ferris wheel scene? Or did they use it earlier? Coz during that scene I kept thinking this must be a new song. I must admit its lyrics totally fit that scene. And now I'm crying again 🤧

I agree that it's better to have your loved one forget you and stay alive than dead. SJ actually did the same thing by staying away from 2009 Sol, letting her forget him so she can be happy. BUT if that was a happy ending then the best that LR can give us is the Ep13 ending. SJ saying that is telling us that the writer thinks that's a sad ending too, that there should be an alternative scenario so that the lovers can be together. And that's why I'm hopeful that we will eventually have a true happy ending.

We thought that the 'erasing' in the lyrics only pertained to young Sol not remembering Sunjae. Writer nim blindsided us with that plot twist in Ep13
