It seems this drama will just explode next weeks: love triangle (better said love square) will ignite, while some business issues will emerge (I wonder why they show FL about to delete audit findings of ML on Haemu Pharma - maybe there is smting about SML and his father?); these 2 levels will intertwine and give the climax on the main story of FL and ML.

I think in the eps.1 it was said FL is returning to Haemu, so it would confirm your guess: In A and Jae Yeol were in a relation and she suffered enough from that so she is now rejecting him so strongly.

just short take on 2ML: imo he's at least frustrated (forced to give up on FL and he cannot believe she is not loving him anymore - maybe he doesn't know her mother story!?) or even psychotic (his violent burst with FL in his office and then on the beach).

I also enjoyed very much, in spite of expedited ending; though, if you follow the back-voice messages in the last episode, you do have some "leads" what would happen to our MCs.

exactly the same remarks: they drag it with scenes of Tan longing and ex-husband empty gazes, but expedite the endings. if you count the minutes, for sure you get minimum 15-20min of these excess/fillers.
or, maybe this is what they observed from watchers responses: most of them prefer to "imagine" what's after the drama ending.

My understanding is that Miyu took a lot of time to decide being with JF: she was resisting to strong attraction into him as she wanted to focus on her career,was afraid to enter into a relationship after her divorce, not been sure of JF residual feelings for his ex. within these circumstances she tried to get away from JF and (actually) forced herself to respond to Tan advances, hence she got to HK vacation and almost kissing him (after gulping a glass of spirit drink); she run away after "almost kissing" because she realized how strong are her feelings for JF.
I've seen up to Eps.32 and imo (after getting with JF) she kept the distance from Tan (declining his invitation to meet in the evening of Marcos banquet, then his request for accepting his pursuit).
I've seen also previews with her & Tan hugs: imo these are more like close friend (both Miyu and Tan are strongly exposed to Western habits)... of course, you can imagine the storming feelings of poor Tan during these hugs.
... and yes! she is not for Tan as his way of loving (come to me and I will protect you) is not in line with her aspirations, while JF's love is "let's face the life together, side by side, hand in hand" - just like in that desert dream of Miyu.

yaa! The very same thinking; it looks like the Cat plays with her funny Mouse. From her glances to him, at their official introduction, I got a hunch she has something for/about him.

I was also confused by those "parallel endings" and did the same choice as you: ZY saves CQ and live somewhere far from the world of cruel masters and fight for power. Still I keep the message that one who fights for ideal world, barely reach the end to see it happen; in real life there is no place for ideal world.
I enjoyed this drama and IMO the acting was fine, story entertaining in the typical costume C-drama way. Congratulations to all actresses/actors in leading roles, with special mention for the courage of Huangyang Tian Tian to tackle this role - wish her more of that.

Special remark for plot and direction: it conveyed the message, nuances & tones and give way for exquisite performances from main cast. I would like to see the continuation of TS and SA story/saga as they will fight together, peer gladiators in unforgiving life arena.

Just need to share with you, MDL people: one of the most intense drama, striking through the 4th wall, wonderfully carried on by performances of main cast. Congratulations to Ha Ji Won, Ju Ji Hoon, Nana and Cha Joo Young for delivering this art piece.

What about Zhao Lu Si case? With these additional pieces of info, it's strongly raising the issue of aggressive work environment and the need for best practices/regulations to protect the actors and especially the actresses.

Yes, life is by its nature unfair. this is the foundation of success for entertainment, therefore there is nothing wrong to offer people stories that make them hopeful. this specific drama gives hope to people that became aloof due to life challenges, but they still dream of their happy-ending. One of the good thing about MDL, is that you can use info available to select dramas/stories upon your preferences; therefore no need to tarnish the respective drama.
Understand from your opinion that you prefer "real-life" like drama: I would recommend C-dramas "About Love", "Adrift in Love", "Stand or Fall", "Goodbye Love" or K-dramas "Strangers Again", "Dear Hyunri". wish you nice watch!

I gave a longer reply on your Inbox; here I just want to point out about Double Fantasy: I found interesting the J-perspective on this topic of woman challenging the societal norms, the courage to be blamed, ostracized because you want what's yours: freedom to chose, to love yourself and be true to yourself. if you are into this topic, I think you could go over other side aspects ("spicy" scenes, unconventional behavior, double standards characters ... just like real life).

Thank you for taking so much time to express your perspective. imo yours is the most probable outcome for this relation... but there are also real chances they learned the lessons, put the past behind, clear the ambiguous "triangle relation Xi-Bei-Gong and start again with clear table as Romans used to say for blocked situation - tabulla rassa. whether they will successful develop this new start, that's up to each one opinion/beliefs. One important aspect here: it's is a work of FICTION, so it depends on one personal perspective (life experience) and preferences (life expectations). What about opposite attracts perspective: maybe Xiaoxi and Bei got together and will stay together because their different traits compliment each other... but that is just another question this drama made us think about.

Thank you for sympathizing... there was a lot of tension around last 2eps, then you got disappointed by the ending. Comments from our fellow watchers (especially lilili) contributed a lot to clarify some meanings of the ending and understand the limitation imposed in order to get this drama aired. Altogether, now I feel like this drama was relatable essay about love: how people relate, dream, struggle, settle "about love".

and one of the line was (from Xiu) "she could have dumped both of them". it seems director was really having fun with this "weird ass" scene. Definitely it's needed a special episode showing our CP after a time-jump.
