The FL tests my patience. Never seen someone so spineless and unhappy with her own life. She never speaks, rarely does an emotion even cross her face other than the sad look. The bit with her friend frustrated me so much. Like girl, just open your mouth and SAY SOMETHING. Who even gives out your beloved's number like that. What a pushover man. Feel bad for the friend too.
Everything aside, I just find Cheng Xiao to be such a well written inspirational character. She is excellent in her field, is a good learner, has a great zest for life, seems to be so positive, isn't afraid of going after what she wants and is so good at navigating romantic relationships. The way she knows how to handle GN character just right and to give him enough space but not too much space.

Omg, I was rewatching and realised I completely glossed over the scene where he brings her handmade breakfast from home but ultimately doesn't give it to her when he sees her eating with her colleague already. That was a HUGE thing for GN to do for someone. Aaaaahhhhh!!!
To everyone wondering whether to continue this or not, it becomes alright after the first 2 episodes. I actually quite like the FL now. She seems to deal with things pretty nicely for a 17 yr old. The cringe only lasts for 2 episodes.

Somebody explain what happened at ep 12 end and 13 beginning. The subtitles were too vague to make sense of their actual conversation. Why did he come to her house? Why was she telling her brother that her friend A (han jingmo) will like to be in a relationship with friend B. When did he imply that? Why was she okay with him into he restaurant and became all embarrassed and stuff when she reached home. WHAT IS HAPPENING.
There is something so OFF about the new guy. I can't put my finger on it. But I think he becomes the romantic interest of Han Jingmo's childhood friend later on based on the intro scenes
Just one tiny detail, at the very end when we see Li Xun again as a college kid walking up the stairs and meeting Zhu Yun again while smiling, we also see everyone else from their college years looking and smiling at him INCLUDING Gao. Idk that made my heart so happy. Like, sorta implying what made Li Xun become the person he is, is everyone's efforts including Gao's. I'd like to imagine there were times in their college years where Li Xun felt even the tiniest amount of comfort from his friendship with Gao. How he wished the best for him in his heart. Trusted him with his legacy. Even if things turned out upside down it doesn't discredit what they had for all those 4 years of college.
