She is famous and popular enough now for viewers to know what to expect when you choose the watch her dramas. Save yourself the frustration just don’t even click on her dramas if you have problem with her voice. I find her very cute and adorable 🥰

I think EY performance is exceptional in this drama. Her character here is a strong, successful hardworking, loyal and matured young woman. Her voice also adjusted perfectly to the role. She is cute when she needed to be but mostly level headed, wise and supportive to Ding Yuxi’s character. I am not sure if you have watched other EY dramas she is a cute and friendly girl by nature in real life, therefore in a drama, especially modern dramas there will always be an element of her actual personality and she always uses her own voice (she is a voice actress btw). A lot of people find her acting extremely adorable (she has had multiple hit dramas) and some may find it annoying, it’s all subjective. You are right in saying one drama cannot satisfy all viewers. EY herself nor any other actor/actress, no matter how talented they are will ever satisfy all viewers. Fortunately we have many options in the Cdrama world and if it is EY that the viewers don’t like why insisting in watching her dramas, getting themselves feeling all frustrated?
I am glad I gave this drama a chance. The story between Mei Ren and Zhuang was sweet and lovely, especially toward the end. The chemistry between Esther and Vince was undeniable. She fell first, but he fell harder once he got going. The second couple did have way too much screen time it was like watching 2 dramas at the same time. I also loved the cinematography and the OST. Many positive messages also conveyed from the drama such as conservation of nature and self image etc…Overall a solid 8.5/10
Wow so good to see this comment section is still lively since the show aired over two months ago. Came back here after the four bamboo masters performed on the 2025 China Internet Audio-Visual Gala last night. They were beautiful together 😍 I am going to rewatch this drama.
After 14 episodes I am still not sure how I feel about this drama. Some parts of it are good and some are just a bit average. It has potential to be so much better so I sincerely hope it will get more exciting in the coming episodes.
I personally like this drama. The acting is superb from the whole cast and Zheng Ye Cheng always kicks ass with his fight scenes. This is not a fluffy drama with a lot of sweet scenes, in contradictory it’s about self sacrifice and self redemption, including death, in many occasions for a greater purpose. I would definitely recommend it.
